I had a go and it just seemed to be slightly too big to get in there; really didn't want to force it though just in case the pyra gets scuffed or scratched while trying to do so. Old case is useful though as inside it had space for 3 sd cards :-)

Just something I wondered off the top of my head. Were there any plans to create a soft case or "bum bag" for the pyra at all? I still have my old pandora one;
For your information though the pyra dosen't fit the pandora's soft bag. It almost does, but not quite!

One question -- what is the SGX driver? I did a quick websearch and all I can find about that is that it has something to do with intel.
I'm really still trying to figure out how to compile video drivers properly; am I right in saying that this is the xorg (2D) accelerated driver while the 3D...
Not getting anywhere with this in the end unfortunatly. I have no idea at all on what to do with this driver. :-( . At best I think I might need to compile something like etnaviv for that xorg driver but I am not sure; this is what I found or least that is as close as I can get.
Though...
Still guessing maybe there's a problem somehow with the driver itself. I tried recompiling but it made no diference, but I did see:
src/Makefile.am:54: warning: source file 'viv2d/queue.c' is in a subdirectory,
src/Makefile.am:54: but option 'subdir-objects' is disabled
automake: warning...
>FWIW: I don't really consider an xorg installation to be any part of an 'empty' OS install. But if I can help you get that working, I will.
Thanks :) I think I probably named this thread wrong. I wouldn't consider an xorg install part of an empty install either but I guess I thought that it...
I had a look and that file is definately missing. I don't know how to generate it though :-( .
The website the driver is on mentions about compiling a 3d driver; from the website ---> ("This driver only use GC320 2D capabilities to provide X11 acceleration, it does not give any 3D...
Ok I had a bit more of a go at all of this. Haven't done anything for the last day or two as it has been sweltering in the UK. Too hot to do anything much.
I tried installing the tde desktop and also the KDE plasma desktop. Bad news and good news to report though.
The good news? They both run...
Ok, well after a *lot* of poking around and a lot of work I managed to get xorg going. Not much works for example the nubs don't move the mouse or anything but after trying to figure out how to compile this I eventually got xorg showing something. Took a lot of work though mind you to work out...
No luck there with any of that unfortunatly. :-(
I did have a usb0 created on the pyra but I am not sure if it would work - the pyra although it is conneced to my PC is only via usb-serial. Not sure if rndis would work - wouldn't that need some sort of ethernet over usb?
The script file also...
Ok, ran into a couple of issues. Firstly I cannot connect to the internet (to install more .deb files) at all using this method. The system dosen't seem to want to connect via either a usb ethernet adapter or wifi. Speaking of wifi I noticed this;
root@letux:~# systemctl status...
I've honestly never even seen that before and I have no idea what a letux is (I've heard of a (night of the) lepus but that isn't quite the same thing hehe! :)
How well it will work or if it is too specific to one thing only time will tell I guess.
Instead of running it (the makesd script)...
Hello all!
Now that I have my pyra I'm now starting to consider an idea although I do not quite know how doable it is or not. The idea is to create an "empty" debian install for the pyra that runs off an sd card; by empty I mean that it is just a basic command line (the pyra just runs off the...
If it helps anyone here's the kernel crash messages from dmesg. I don't know what this relates to though!

Tried one more thing just in case btw: I did an apt update/upgrade as I also found that the pyra was reporting the wrong length of time to charge (the pyra at 80% was saying a little over 5 hours to charge the battery). After an apt update/upgrade this is a more reasonable 45 mins although I am...

Hello ! I've literally just received my pyra :) and apart from going through the setup procedure the first thing I decided to (after doing that) was to give the pyra a charge; the battery was getting a bit low on just 27%
I used a normal usb charger similar to this one and the first time I...
Don't want to keep on posting here about not receiving an email here as I don't want to spam up this thread too much but I checked again and included the spam directory but nope no email so far.

Pretty sure I've not changed my email address. Hmm...maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing? What should I search for, would "pyra" or "dragonbox" work? (I did try those but not seeing anything).
ljones
From what I can gather the email is to do with this forum looking at the email it just lists threads which have been updated with posts ("Improve volume wheel bounty","I'm still alive in case any one cares") ,etc. Checked through spam and in normal emails; looked for "dragonbox" and "pyra"...
