Maybe the mmuhack (or Notaz's wARM not sure which one Gpsp uses) is not being applied correctly. Have you tried running the emulator via a telnet session to see if any errors are reported on the command line when the emulator starts up?
ha ha ha, everyone whinges that they do not have a port of Final Burn Alpha and when they finally get one they want a different port, made me chuckle. Any ports are possible with the source code and some mug to do the work.
Not entirely sure I understand you correctly, so forgive me if I'm barking up the wrong tree. The horizontal scaling will not affect all games as some Genesis games use a resolution with a width of 320 which matches the resolution of the Caanoo and so scaling is not required. Which game are...
I Wish people like you would stop whinging about lack of coders and learn to code themselves. Unfortunately the Caanoo user base is full of people who want something for nothing and then complain that software that the few coders produce is not good enough for them!
I have no idea how much work is involved in fixing it, as soon as I saw the compiler errors I just gave up.
Source code is below

I may play around with it again at some point, I was going to compare this source code with the original UAE...
The original source code has save state functionality in it but when its enabled the code fails to compile, I could not be asked to work out why. If someone else wants a go just enable the SAVESTATE define I believe to add the functionality back in, you'll also need to add some functions to the...
Great Topic!

Yes I know video is for Amiga version but the only Snes one I can find has some high pitch Japanese girls going bonkers in the background ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMDqjWUtDdI ) :
Works fine for me :) I never have any problems running i386 Windows software on my arm linux handheld. You must have just installed it wrong, try again and keep trying again and again and again at some point you WILL succeed.
The Dingoo and Caanoo have the same screen resolution (320x240), the Caanoo screen is just physically bigger. I believe the text issues are due to the text having to be scaled down to fit the resolution of the Dingoo, so the Caanoo will suffer the same problem.
In the settings screen in Capex ( press II ), you need to change the window setting to either Software or Hardware Scaling ( note: Hardware Scaling is still actually software scaling). If you launch the game now the screen will be scaled to fit the Caanoo screen...However..
There is a bug in...
Yeah you will get that a lot, FBA outputs reasons why the roms are not loading but you can not see them as the errors go to the console. If you are having problems I would suggest connecting to your caanoo via telnet & usb network etc. You can then run the app via the console and you will get...
I believe ( but I could be wrong ) that FBA supports newer rom sets for a select number of roms. Mame4all is only compatible with an older version of the rom sets which are harder to come by but Mame4all supports alot more roms than FBA.
It sounds like your system is not picking up the unofficial SDL lib that should be in the install dir. This lib is a god send, it adds double buffering support for the display (stops flickering) and the Caanoo controls are also mapped to match the GP2X (including UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT).
Could you...
Moving controls to I/II means messing up the controls when in vertical mode. I could get the emulator to switch the buttons depending on the screen mode but this may get very confusing...I'll have a think about it. The source code is available if you want to build your own version though ;)
