I'm pretty sure that would be illegal. Order numbers don't have to be strictly sequential but IIRC they do have to be logically and reproducably created, easily sortable, in UK business IIRC.
If they ever answer this (unlikely) expect them to refer to that promise as a "rumour". That seems to be a recent catchprase of their when promises change.

You were spoilt then. The first modem I owned was, I beleive, a 1200/75 one. I used, but never personally ownen, an acoustic coupler prior to that.
I'd still prefer WiFi speed to match the specifications - all this "no device in this class meets the specifications" stuff reminds me very much...
Well, as I recall it, the question was put as to whether NZ and Wales are similar in a certain fashion in the first place, and that's what set off this line of pondering:

I also think that the Pandora has potential beyond a few thousand users - as do the OpenPandora team, I believe.
Thinking about the Beagle Board and so on, I don't think buying out OpenPandora and then removing the gaming controls would make any sense. I mean - what would "they" be paying OpenPandora FOR? What can OpenPandora do that a larger company can't do as easily, and without the cost of a buyout...
