I think the L2 and R2 pads are each just allow for one button each not two.
Also really cool idea!
I plan to add buttons through the GPIO pins on the EXT port but need someone to help with the software side of things.
I don't know everybody's name but I will name their contributions.
Peca and WizardStan for making TV out and more possible.
The person who ported chrome
The person responsible for the ports of decent 1 and 2
Whomever made the new nub configorator
The person who handled my issue with...
I got my TinyBoBs and Connectors not long ago. Went to a local hackerspace to get help soldering them together. Turned out to be something well within my abilities. Now I have TV out working. I am in pretty desperate need of someone making buttons over gpio pins possible.
TV out is awesome...
This is at least the third or fourth thread regarding the Switchblade. But it is fun to discuss.
First regarding battery life, I doubt that the Switchblade would be able to peak above 6 hours of light use.
Handheld gaming on this will probably be near impossible. This thing is for "PC...
If I connect an adapter rated at greater or less than 2A will there be any problems? I am thinking of adapters from .5A to 3A.
I presume that the Pandora will only draw what it needs when the adapter has a higher rating.
When the adapter has a lower rating I have heard of adapters being...
You need to configure your nubs as joysticks then spend a while (>2min) minutes playing around in the input tester. Unfortunately I don't have A Pandora on hand so you'll have to figure out how to do all this yourself.
If you produce more I would hope that you can have the manufacturer cut some of the PCB away so that the edge of the board can touch the connector allowing an easier and better connection.
Well thanks for clearing that up for us!
So, how many ways have you guys been burned/stalled/hurt in your design and production by competing manufactures? Don't try and answer that, I suspect it will depress us all.
Looks like all this is well beyond my understanding :( I was really hoping it would be much simpler, I had asked a few people in chat and was told it should be as simple as connecting one of the GPIO pins to a gnd or power pin with a button and then running some kind of script on the device...
I want to add buttons to my Pandora via the EXT port.
Is it safe or recommended to connect the power pin to a GPIO pin?
Should I connect to GND instead?
Or do I need a more complex solution perhaps involving resistor(s) and/or more than two pins?
