Do I understand this right? The chip has voice call functionality, but the producer doesn't deliver a manual how to use it? What's the sense in this? Or are the AT-commands a secret?
Here a "rendering" of the pyra with an alternative Logo. This can be achieved without cutting a new logo-plate. The new logo can simply be glued on the existing one. In fact - the intrinsic molecule structure of the design will make your Pyra last forever.
Without doubt everybody who is thinking...
Pyra cases and packaging look great! In m opinion the gray case doesn't need to be darker (heats more up, when uing under direct sunlight).
About the scratch resistivity: I don't care. My devices all look ugly and worn after some time. I'm using them...
I really like the way things are done in...
A red interface is also important for astrohpotography. When you're out on the field in the dark it's important to only use red-light, so that your eyes are getting adapted to the dark. This takes up to an hour whereas an adaption onto brighter light goes quick.
Thanks all for clarification! I'm really getting more and more excited getting the Pyra!
After searching the web a little bit i found this mailing list thread. (I was programming with Eclipse and the AVR-Plugin for my Arduino AtMega2560, which worked quite nice. So I thought maybe I can use the...
I'm quite a noob in this section and I don't understand, if I understand things right here. I'was fiddling around with an arduino at home (programming it with Eclipse CDT). So as much I understand, I could use the both M4s as a prototyping board like the arduino? Will it be possible, to write...
Awesome! I've never heard of reverse ssh before!
After ssh into the device you could get the coordinates from the GPS-Module.
I plan to install a simple webapplication on a public server and a cronjob on the pyra which pings the webservice with GPS coordinates regularly. So I always know, where...
I will definitely use the Pyra for photography in generell and especially for astrophotography.
While travelling it will be great to copy pictures from my DSLR on to the Pyra, sort them out, and upload them to an online gallery or blog. This was cumbersome using a smartphone or tablet...
@slaeshjag gave me the link to some Sensor-datasheets which were discussed on the Kernel-Mailinglist, for the Compass, humidity, pressure and temperature sensors
Which of these chips are finally soldered on the pyra?
Yes true, SMSing is for sure much more fun having a full keyboard. I ordered the mobile version anyway :-)
I think with a Bluetooth headset the Pyra is also a good candidate for making phonecalls.
My next mobilephone might be a dull 20$ Phone, if the Pyra works as I expect. No more...
Although this thread is a little bit older, it seems to be the right place to put my first forum entry: So, hello everybody! :)
I will use my Pyra mainly as a laptop on the go. Check server-statuses seems to be a perfect application for this device. Also the GPS-Capabilities will come in handy...
