Should ED stop delivering units to Craig?

Shouldn't forget this one. There still is Craig's ridiculous claim of a massive number of broken systems that got sent back by customers. Under no circumstances should ED take responsibility for that liability, be it real or fabricated. Continuing to try to support orginial preorderers, yes -...

Should ED stop delivering units to Craig?

Not necessarily. Don't forget there's also a language barrier at work here, which probably puts ED at a disadvantage in any phone conversation. Yes, a phone call can clear up some atmospheric problems, being somewhat off the record (in contrast to any electronic communication) - but it's also...

    Screen for P2

Something like this in about 5" would be really cool: 10" Pixel Qi 1024x600 (Unfortunately the smallest size PQ currently builds is 7"...)

Pandora missing dev packages in Pandora feed?

*cough* didn't come around looking for it until today - but there still is no make package in the openpandora feed, did you put it somewhere else?

    Wakeup problems

Screen blanking just switches off the display (or the backlight, not shure) after some time. Can be controlled via Settings -> LCD-Settings -> Enable/disable screen blanking. Standby mode is toggled by flicking the power switch to the right. It turns off almost everything, Wifi, SD cards...

Has *anybody* received a refund from OpenPandora Ltd (Craig's) in 2013?

Sorry - but am I missing something here? As far as I understood, ED currently has no obligation whatsoever towards Craig, unless Craig pays for every unit that is delivered to him (or his customers). Therefore the distribution of systems is completely irrelevant. That ED is using funds from...

Has *anybody* received a refund from OpenPandora Ltd (Craig's) in 2013?

Sorry, but that's crazy talk. Craig fucked up his business all by himself, and it's not your job to rescue him. It's commendable, it's an exceptional service to Craig's poor customers, but all you will get from Craig is more abuse.

Pandora missing dev packages in Pandora feed?

Yes, I've been using cdevdools and Code::Blocks all the time, but they both contain quite a few updated libraries and such - which is fine sometimes, but also leads to new PNDs with the 10th version of QT packaged in...

Pandora missing dev packages in Pandora feed?

I've been trying to update one of the descriptions on how to install development tools to the Pandora from the wiki: http://pandorawiki.org/Compile_directly_on_the_Pandora#Using_Angstrom_packages Some of the problems (the one with libpng, for example) don't exist anymore - but it seems that a...

Does Gigolo still works with Windows 7 shared folders ?

Same problem as pmprog with old Samba vs. Windows Live Assistant over in this thread?

    Network drive mapping

[edit] nevermind, probably misinterpreted the question (you're talking about mounting a Windows filesystem from the Pandora, not the other way round, right?)

    How to disable Zram?

In /etc/modules comment out or delete the last line (zram). Probably best to comment out the corresponding lines in /etc/init.d/pandora-state too (mksap and swapon on /dev/zram0, line 84/85 in my version). Doesn't seem configurable otherwise.

    Release VLC 2.0.5

Hmm, seems like only the two XCB video output options work at all right now. I think I missed that VLC built it's own SDL libraries and linked against those instead of the Pandora libs. Not shure I can muster the motivation for another go at the whole thing right now - maybe next week...

Minecraft - Pi edition ... runs on Debian?

hardfp isn't a problem as such - I just fetched all the libs from a pi, and then it's possible to use the Raspbian ld.so to try to start the binary - a la raspi-libs/ld-linux-armhf.so.3 --library-path `pwd`/raspi-libs ./minecraft-pi - but that predictably just dies with a "failed to open vchiq...

Sufficient Activity Nowadays to start a Pandora focused Blog?

Not to divert from the blog topic - but as there are people with different interest, and not everyone who wants to contribute is interested in blogging: The wiki over at pandorawiki.org really could need a few people to weed out old articles with incorrect info and add new stuff to others.

    Release VLC 2.0.5

Ouch. That's somewhat uncool, and I can't test it myself currently. Did you try any of the output methods besides the default? I'm pretty shure the GL method doesn't work, but the others might (just used XCB and SDL myself).

    Pandora is WAY overpriced????

Just to add another thing - as far as I know there currently are just two pocket computing devices that are not closely attached to or embedded in a walled garden - Pandora and the Openmoko phone. That has it's up- and downsides (as can be seen everytime the "why isn't it an Android device...
