    C/C++ Development tools v2

    Downloaded it yesterday, not shure I can find some time to test it today, though :)

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    Heh, just wanted to post about svn too, as I've run into the same problem... Obviously, it needs the serf library (--with-serf) to support http...

    Release Pale Moon

    On Smartphones and Tablets they don't use the Web - they use "Apps", which give the Publisher much more control over the user's environment (no browser plugins, thus no ad-blocking etc.)... But still, many web sites have "mobile" versions - which are not used on the Pandora, as it's usually...

    Release Pale Moon

    From what I understand, all "compatibility mode" does is change the UserAgent identifier that is sent to web servers. But possibly many sites feed more complex stylesheets and javascript to browsers identified as "real" Firefox.

    SuperZaxxon v1.71 (final major release) released!

    Strange... Just had it show up on the second reboot after reflashing. On the first reboot, there wasn't even a mention of zram in the dmesg...

    Release Pale Moon

    Does anyone know if recent Firefox on the Pandora still has TLS problems with the Google login page? Because PaleMoon doesn't... (Also, please don't change L/R bindings - I use those all the time when typing...) I had one crash, but that seems to have been due to Flash barfing on some embedded...

    SuperZaxxon v1.71 (final major release) released!

    Has zram been disabled on this release? No problems otherwise - thanks! [edit] whoops - just noticed I have NAND read errors, guess it's time for a full reflash... [edit2] ok, zram is still gone after reflashing...

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    I just had it still around on the devtools SD card (don't think I used it since the one time I failed at trying to port Mulberry...). Didn't understand that you are trying to actually update/replace the original cdevtools package in-place - in that case everything is fine as is :)

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    I didn't try to actually do anything with your PND yet... But just from downloading the package - when both the old cdevtools and cdevtools2 are installed, it's not easily possible to find out which one I'm going to run, as your menu entry doesn't contain anything about "v2". Personally, I'd...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

    Oh, I always run the updater twice since that one time when the system wouldn't boot after using it just once. Probably picked a bad time and some packages were still missing or something.

    C/C++ Development tools v2

    Great! The Code::Blocks PND includes way too much ballast by now and is getting increasingly unwieldy...

    SuperZaxxon v1.70RC released

    Had that problem too after updating last weekend - running another update today installed some more packages incuding pam-something-keyring, and now the wifi passwords are back. So this seems to work again, now.

    Release Firefox 31.0 in repo

    It seems that Mozilla will start disabling SSLv3 support in upcoming Firefox releases after a new attack on Session Cookies in SSLv3-encrypted connections has emerged: https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/ As far as I know, the workaround for...

    Do we have an issue tracker?

    Using github would probably not be a bad idea, as it also raises visibility of the project. Just be shure to have a backup of everything on there somewhere else (is it possible to export issue tracker data in a usable format?) - just needs a rubbish DMCA takedown notice to shut down your project...

    Logo twerking

    That would work if we could get Tempest as an official launch title ;)

    Final Logo Poll

    Funny. I find #2 immediately recognizable as a flame. Somehow I always think there's a torch beneath... Maybe there's a similar logo somewhere around?

    Final Logo Poll

    Whie I think the dp hint in 1) is a cool feature, it feels quite non-technical, and therefore more generic than the other one. So I prefer the second logo.

    Beautiful landscapes are prettier than portraits

    1280x720 is perfectly fine for a device this size. Lower price ist also a plus, as is using a solution that has proven to work for other people (maybe you can get into contact with other customers of that company?).

    [poll: vote now!1!!] 3G paranoia: Discussing solutions

      You don't need to be scared, as you're not running the show. With the Pandora, PCBs have been populated in relatively small batches, and in several different versions. From that, having a couple of different variants won't add a lot to the costs, as long as they all can be populated on the...

    iCP2: They're throwing in the towel.

    If I read the Kickstarter rules correctly, the company that organizes a campaign is liable for the delivery of the rewards. That step is easy to trace. I'd see Craig's company as a supplier to that organizing company - and it failed to deliver any goods. That's not a problem of the kickstarter...
