running linux arm executables on Pandora

Great, now it builds. And quite fast too. I have one question now, about the keyboard mapping. I did use the pxml from your deltarune.pnd as a base for my pnd. Just edited the needed parts. I did notice you had these two lines in your file: xmodmap -e "keysym Next = z" xmodmap -e "keysym End =...

That is strange. It still never finish to build the pnd here. I am using this cmd line: /usr/pandora/scripts/pnd_make.sh -d /media/mmcblk0p1/Downloads/dkzip -p /tmp/dk.pnd -i /media/mmcblk0p1/Downloads/dkzip/icon.png -x In the dkzip folder I have the following files: DonkeyKong_Linux_x86...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

Is it supposed to take long time to pack about 33MB into a pnd on the pandora? I terminated the script after an hour. There was no error messages or output.

running linux arm executables on Pandora

hm. the list was updated 3 days ago, so I see no update today. You know you need to beat the scores to get to upload that list?;) Anyway, excellent work. I just tested it and it does work, both downloading the list and uploading. Managed to get on the Game B list, and entered playername...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

Yes, it was probably running the old box86t executable. I renamed the one in codeblocks/usr/bin to box86t_ and now the online version starts. It runs and you can play the game. But as soon as it tries to go online, it will fail. It will try go go online as soon as you either click in the area...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

Thanks. Got the local version working now. It was Filezilla that messed up the x86 executables for me. Downloading them as zip files instead and the elf header error was gone. It plays ok, but some sounds are missing. There are some very short sound samples in there that the sound system misses...

I only tried from the terminal, but then it only returns that elf header message. I will try to get that codeblocks.pnd, but that is a huge download.

running linux arm executables on Pandora

I havent been using my pandora for ages, and havent been updated on the development. If anyone is to blame for my lack of knowledge here, it must me myself. And I see you already have made the game running. Was there any particular dependencies or arguments to launch it? I tried with: "box86t...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

Actually, I was not aware of box86 at all. I though you was refering to the DosBox package at first. Now, after searching I did find a box86 thread here on the forum. That thread have 25 pages of posts, so I havent been able to read through that just yet. I have located the github page an read...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

I did try the armhf support and it goes a bit further. I get lots of info when using ldd. Now I get "segmentation fault" if I try to run it. I doubt this is going to work. My idea was if my game worked, I could try to learn to create PND files out of it and finally release them on the repo. If...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

I am afraid the Hollywood compiler doesnt offer options like that. It does have the option to select a wide range of platforms when compiling, including arm, ppc, x86 and x64 for linux. But no further options like softfp. The command outputs: line 119: /usr/games/DonkeyKong: No such file or...

running linux arm executables on Pandora

That changed it from -rwxr-xr-x to -rwxrwxrwx so I think it already was executable. It still says No such file or directory when trying to run it.

Cracked LCD, replacement not in stock

You're probably right. The sellers at aliexpress doesn't have the habit of overdoing their productdescriptions. Just a question out of curiousity, does it exist larger LCD screens, eg. 5 inch that is directly compatible and fits the same lcd connector. In case some want to modify their pandora...

Cracked LCD, replacement not in stock

Here is a screenshot from the ones available at aliexpress. The two to the left looks like the one used for the padora, but the one at the right has a different shape of the connector cable. Maybe it can be twisted to fit, but the plastic is a bit stiff, so I think the ones to the left as a...

Cracked LCD, replacement not in stock

There seem to be a limited numbers of these screens available at the dragonshop. It says out of stock, but they apearently does have a few left reserved for repairs. And in the shop the description for these replacement LCD's are "used with touchscreen issues". They did send me one, but there...
