Here is a first alpha version of UAE4ARM, a new Amiga Emulator based on UAE4ALL.
Why a new version?
We reached the limit of the CPU core (FAME/C) used in UAE4ALL. It's very hard to enhance this version to enable new features. So I switched to the CPU core used in WinUAE and most other Amiga...
Here are the sources for the latest version of UAE4ALL.
Changes:
- Bugfix: Minor graphic bug in Love Demo fixed
- CPU idle indicator in status line
- Performance update for AGA

The ARM JIT from aranym based on the JIT of Basilisk. WinUAE and Basilisk had also the same base. For aranym they started to implement the ARM version.
I'll have a look at the sources from mame4all...thanks for the hint.
My explanations wasn't clear for this topic. The calls to the emulation of the custom chip is done with function calls from the recompiled code. What I can see is, that there are lot of small blocks of recompiled code (4 to 10 M68K instructions). I think I have to make a deeper analysis of the...
Hi.
Does anyone has experience with JIT for ARM CPUs? Maybe I can get some ideas how to improve my JIT implementation for UAE4ALL.
I have now a first special version of UAE4ALL with JIT (very experimental version, nothing to publish). It based on the aranym version of the m68k core.
Only in...
If you want the same compatability level in UAE4ALL as in WinUAE, you have to:
- switch from FAME/C core to m68k core of WinUAE
- in m68k core, switch on emulation of prefetch of data/opcodes
- sometimes cycle-exact blitter emulation and/or cpu emulation is required
- remove copper...
Prince of Persia: I think we need cycle-exact cpu emulation for this.
Lionheart: I have no problems to jump during fight with the first boss.
Alien 3: Select 60Hz refresh rate in Display/Sound tab. This game requires NTSC timing.
Golden Axe: Can't find a disk image for this game. Perhaps also...
There is a new version (2.5.3.3) available with these changes:
- Bugfix: Graphic glitches in very rare situations after loading a saved state
- Bugfix: Crash while loading/saving states

I'm searching for a toolkit for a new GUI and the first one I found with support for SDL was Agar.
Has somebody tried this already?
Or any other suggestions what library to use?
Thanks,
TomB
When they use an own disk loader. These loaders expect an exact timing, when the data from the disk is available and will fail when the result comes to early.
You can also try a higher floppy speed to reduce the waiting time. Not every game will work with higher floppy speed, but maybe Shadow of the Beast doesn't care.
Minor update to version 2.5.3.2 with following changes:
- Bugfix for missing screenshots in savestates
- Better support of Pandora keyboard. Special keys now accessible the same way as on your Pandora (when US keyboard layout selected on Amiga side)

I will also check this feature. But it will take some time before the new release will come.
In the next days, there will be only a small update with a bugfix for missing screenshots on savestates and improved Pandora keyboard support.
