Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

Linux-SWAT: Good suggestion you made before wrt Yamagi Quake btw - I've got it compiled and running on my Panda, just not quite sure how (or if) I can get the OGLES rendering to work. http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/63039-yamagi-quake2-opengl-es-caanoo-and-wiz/ I've had some...

Yamagi Quake2 Opengl-Es [Caanoo And Wiz]

The OGLES converted source has compiled for me on my Pandaboard, I'm just unsure how I get OGLES rendering enabled as its only using the SDL software/MESA renderer for me right now. If any other Pandaboard users want to hack the current converted source to run, make the following changes to the...

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

SUCCESS! Well, I still haven't got any GLES 2 games running on my Panda just yet but I am happy to report I have at least got a couple of OGLES 1 accelerated, commercial quality games running very nicely on my Pandaboard - namely Descent 1 and 2 via d1x and d2x rebirth...

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

Yes I'm aware of the Doom 3 port to GLES 2 but does Pickle expect he'll be able to get 30 fps or thereabouts on the (600Mhz) Pandora? We've got more chance on the 1Ghz Pandoras or Pandaboards but still - will it be playable when its done?

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

Looking at this page: http://apps.openpandora.org/cgi-bin/viewarea.pl?Games I can see Pandora ports of Doom and Quake but nothing later (Q2,Q3,W:ET or whatever) - is there a better resource than this for Pandora games?

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

I've made some progress now as I have at least seen my Pandaboards hardware GL ES 2 support working thanks to glmark2-es2 which is in the Ubuntu repos. Wakebreaker: I downloaded your source archive Torpor. I've got a little bit further than with the original source as at least you had the...

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

Hi Torpor! What I'm hoping to find is some decent looking, open source ES 2 games. A Dreamcast ARM/ES2 emu would be fantastic but I think one of you would've mentioned that if it existed. If there are no open source ES2 games (I've found Q3 ES2 for Pandora but I'd need to compile GCC 2.95...

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

Thanks for the link Wally but I can't see that being much use until I get a hold of the mythical mupen64plus-arm source. You have inspired me to write to the maintainer of that plugin though as he'd be a good candidate for someone who may have it. The N64 CPU was about 3x the speed of the PSX...

Open GL ES 2 open source apps - where are they?

As some of you who have read my first thread on the Pandora boards will know, I've been hunting high and low for a single useful app, fun game or emu that will take advantage of the OGL ES2 support offered by my Pandaboard, which is obviously a close cousin hardware and software wise to the...

    PCSX ReARMed on Pandaboard

Notaz: As for you not having access to a armhf rootfs, have you not already ordered yourself an Rpi? They should be giving you one for free really, top ARM dev that you are! Raspbian is based on Debian Wheezy armhf and the FAQ says it should run on ARM devices other than the RPi so I'd...

    PCSX ReARMed on Pandaboard

Thumb mode? Not intentionally - I've explained exactly what steps I've been taking to get it to build and so for that bt it was exactly the same but with debug mode turned on and the breakpoint added. This forum wouldn't seem to let me attach the pcsx.map file no matter how I compress or...

    PCSX ReARMed on Pandaboard

Glad to hear you're making PCSX rearmed more generic - there'll be lots of RPi users hoping to run PCSX rearmed soon too of course! Of course I'll get you a bt but can you explain exactly how you want me to create this breakpoint? Thanks!

    PCSX ReARMed on Pandaboard

Hi notaz and all those interested in ARM emulation stuff (thats you reading this too, no doubt)! I originally created this same thread over on the GP2X forums which is where notaz's contact page still says he prefers to be contacted by but a member of said forums has informed me I'm much more...

    Pcsx Rearmed On Pandaboard

I have tried pcsxr from the Ubuntu Precise repos and that does work but its slow as hell - maybe quarter speed and thats when I enable the 'performance' CPU governor. I have not tried any OGLES video plugins with pcsxr - I don't even know if there are any that might work for Pandaboard users...

    Pcsx Rearmed On Pandaboard

Hi notaz and those interested in ARM emulation stuff! TI recently released their updated SGX xorg drivers for Ubuntu 12.04 (armhf) on the Pandaboard and so I went on the hunt for apps that may be able to make good use of the Open GL ES 2 and NEON features of my Pandaboard. As far as emus are...

    Two Years Today!

Two years?!?! Waaaay too long a wait for me. The good news for those after a first batch is there is one more available now since I just cancelled my p& order. I was thinking about cancelling when the N900 came but the N9 clear blows the P out of the water for a non-gaming Linuxer like me so...
