[Release] Compo4all MAME - ladder/scoreboard competition for classic arcade games :)

Yes, and it is even more annoying, as the alternative (keyboard input) also has its shortcomings: But luckily skeezix said he will fix 'em :-)

[Release] Compo4all MAME - ladder/scoreboard competition for classic arcade games :)

I will have fun with C4A also if it is technically totally insecured. (If you agree with this statement, please "like" the post). I have a strong certainty, that I compete against honorable men and woman within the OP community. Waiting for a product for many years in an otherwise very...

[Release] Compo4all MAME - ladder/scoreboard competition for classic arcade games :)

Good, that I read about this this in the "tournament hub" thread by incident! Bug reports: Endless syncing prevents game launch: I used the most recent C4A-Mame from the repo, and the first time it worked nice, but on consecutive sessions, launching games became mostly impossible. When you...

Can these DOS games be played fluently on a Rebirth Pandora?

Star Wars: X-Wing (1993, polygonal 3D engine) Star Wars: Rebel Assault (1993, motion video backdrops)   Under which emulator and how fluent? Any special settings necessary (for better performance/compatibility)? Experiences anyone?

    Feedback for repo.openpandora.org

^ Yes, a useful view, to track newest comments. A good aid for spotting the newest reviews or trending apps, or the opposite — uncommented apps getting attention from scanning early adopters / reviewers, probably creating new trends.

^ Good point. And: This was my de facto workaround anyways. Meanwhile thread creation is automated anyways! I am too for this allocation of tasks between FAQ". Repo: The comment submission form should be extended with a "guidelines" link, like this: Add comment (guidelines)                300...

    Feedback for repo.openpandora.org

^Yes, because it is much more (socially) encouraging to comment, if the repo would get a multi-way-communication (user<->maintainer, user<->user)! Currently for an ordinary user: Write into the system and leave it. Maybe check back later, but hmm,  which apps did I comment on recently…? You see...

And as already pointed out many times: I'd like to have discussion subscription/notification service.

    The Tournament Hub (Launcher)

The farthest I came so far: Could open menu with A button and in the background the tiles started loading, but then it still crashed.

    The Tournament Hub (Launcher)

Tried the Tournament for the first time, had downloaded your most recent version. I see the "launching screen (b/w)", then the colorful background, occasionally some attempt to load more screen elements such as the game tiles or menu items; and then the app crashes. I even tried it with both...

    Release Barrage: User feedback

Did you ever get to it? I am still curious in a Barrage with customizable controls. Also ok to do that in a config file, as you proposed.

Were there ever violent Game Boy games?

The Game Boy games I played and oversaw so far gave the impression, that the GB was quite a child/youth-friendly platform, featuring no graphic violence and gore. Out of curiosity in video game culture, I am asking: Have there ever been violent games for the Game Boy? Original, homebrew? I...

    Feedback for repo.openpandora.org

I really recommend all developers of packet managers, launchers, etc to read that guideline document. Put a lot of effort into it, it may be worth looking into it.

USB OTG port does not appear to be working.

lingenfr: To test Binky's assumption: Make sure USB networking is enabled. Then reboot. First connect a USB device into your hub, then connect your hub to the Pandora OTG port. (The order in which you dis/connect USB hubs/devices is sensitive on the Pandora, as reported for the USB host...

USB OTG port does not appear to be working.

Probably related thread, may provide you with some info. In that thread notaz states, that EHCI drivers are yet not working as they should, but that there's not enough manpower for fixing it.

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

These stuff is too low level for me to understand. What I attempted is to look into the router's log, but it only shows superficial stuff like MAC associations ON/OFF, TCP open/close, etc, but nothing related to syncing.

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

Thanks for your clarification. Likely no solution for my Pandora to come. Except if there is another dev, who had one with the very same symptoms, who could tinker with it.

WiFi mysteries resolved once and for all — Power saving is clearly the culprit!

That would be absolutely satisfying for me, and most other WiFi-troubled users as well, I guess. As described in depth by me and others, the problem lies far beyond that: No one complains about the max-speed being too little, but rather about WiFi mostly interrupting/stalling, working reliably...
