PCSX ReARMed - Disc image format CCD / CUE / IMG / SUB - Troubleshooting

Driver still crashes for me (at a certain point, AFAIR within a game menu situation), but the .SUB.OFF renaming solved at least its SUBchannel related issues.

    Pandora PNDManager

Agreeing to B-Zar, but at certain list length, some way of quick scrolling would be convenient. The most UX compliant way (introducing nothing new, just modifying something existing): When using a swipe gesture for scrolling up/down use a higher scrolling speed. Basically the same physics...

PCSX ReARMed - Disc image format CCD / CUE / IMG / SUB - Troubleshooting

As stated in my opening post, deactivating the sub-channel-parts by changing the .SUB file extension to something else got my games playing, but if the .SUB part contains the copy protection part, I assume that the game's lock mechanism will kick and the game will not start either.

Release SnapSnap: Take easy screenshots (repo release)

Note http://pandorawiki.org/Formatting_SD_cards WARNING: mmcblk0 will not necessarily be the left slot. It's the first card that the system recognizes, which is usually the left slot (but not if you inserted an SD into the left slot after you had one in the right slot, for example). Please make...

    Pandora PNDManager

    2) This suggestion has some value in its own, but of course mainly it's a compensation for the lack of keeping focus in lists (see nr.1 below). But nevertheless for the use case of 50+ PNDs a solution for paging up/down would be appreciated. Because all main directional buttons are already in...

    Pandora PNDManager

Feature suggestion: Arrow-Right acts as Page-Down, Arrow-Left acts as Page-Up Like in PickleLauncher. Works like a charm for scrolling through long lists. As A/B/X/Y within list view are already in use in PNDManager.

    Pandora PNDManager

Suggesting a few feature improvement concerning item focus in lists: After removing a PND and returning to the list, the next sibling of the deleted item shall be selected (focused) Currently: If you remove a PND and return to the list (via the X-button) PNDmanager selects the first PND in the...

Release SnapSnap: Take easy screenshots (repo release)

    I) I meanwhile managed to install SnapSnap. The usage instructions on the repo page are poor, please update them to something like: 1) Before running SnapSnap the first time, you need to install it — this is in contrast to most PNDs, which you "just run". You find the installer at: Menu >...

    Release Simple Screen Recorder

I used all default values, chose /media/my FAT32 partition on SD card in left slot/rec.mkv, and started recording, with the hotkey set to CTRL+SHIFT+R, and stopped after ~15 seconds. UI feedback: The counter HH:MM:SS increases normally, also current FPS are updated, but the filesize remains at...

Please allow 1 + 2 character search strings in the forum search

I.e. to get results for specifically Game Title 2 versus Game Title 4. But ED hinted that searching for "Game Title 4" (with quotes) will do the trick of including the differentiating 1 character.

Forum software inquiry: Search queries as HTTP GET so that you can simply share/re-use a search quer

Forum admin ED said, it's not possible within the current IPB. Possibly within IPB 4, or a later version.

Forum software bug report: Search results shown as threads although requested as posts

Bug 1) EvilDragon and Levi could not reproduce it. My bad luck then. Bug 2) already feared that this is by design. So it is not possible to show me all posts of "userx" made to the thread entitled "y"? No problem? Just scan through it manually for 30min until you find it! You see, therefore...

Release SnapSnap: Take easy screenshots (repo release)

Does not work on my Pandora, with disk SD card setup (all partitions have labels!): Left slot: pa (FAT32, PND apps)  / pb (ext3, alternative boot volume, emptied it according to your bug warning) / swap-partition Right slot: pm (FAT32, media files) Is there a config where I can set the path?

At least go through some configs. Try plugins. Etc. Enough possible also within closed source SW, if one got the time and access to the infrastructure. Anyone?

Forum software bug report: Search results shown as threads although requested as posts

Recently I wanted to search for posts containing "pndmanager" from author "pmprog". The search engine fails in multiple aspects: Bug 1: Search results are shown as threads, although I requested them to be displayed as posts. Exception: If your search for yourself (logged in user == author)...

    Time and Date drifting

I did intensive test on this issue, and published my findings in #15. In the successive posts I also discussed the effects of possible fixes, and what must be done to fix this for the OS. But I am not sure if a dev ever picked that up.

    Release PNDManager

@B-ZaR: Bug Prevention Idea: PNDManager looks for a flag file like "version-x-x-x-already-ran-once" at start up, and if not found runs an init script like rm -r /media/*/pandora/appdata/libpndman/ to ensure that previous (potentially malicious caches) are removed. Because we are seeing this...
