    GPFCE: Emulation too fast

Also found that strange, as I guess that the filename is not regarded but rather an identifier in the ROM. I had two different dumps in two different directories. Guess the issue was rather that I unknowingly loaded a bad ROM instead of the working one, as I start them via Pandafe. I had...

    GPFCE: Emulation too fast

First of all, hi again dear community after 3 years of Pandora usage and forum abstinence. Wanted to play Super Mario Bros (NES) on GPFCE but it runs too fast. What can I do to get closer to the original playback speed? For comparison I looked at Youtube videos. There the countdown is clearly...

    Release Pandafe 0.3.0

I reported that problem. To summarize it: PCSX ReARMed, as opposed to most other PNDs, encodes the version number into the filename pcsx_rearmed_rNN.pnd where NN is the version number. Therefore Pandafe has an outdated filepath to the PND. Solution: Issue Pandafe's "Scan PNDs" command. Then the...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

^  Thanks for this response as it takes my "community responsibility" of my shoulders. From my side this issue is now both sufficiently reported and responded to. Thanks! The developer has every possible cause & evidence available now, and if time, need & will gets available, will deal with...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

    1) So if bad BIOS files can cause no side effects, it must have been 2a) the two identical external controllers (Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2), or 2b) that I once activated "nubs as buttons", rescanned, then saved as global control config. If you look at your code, are 2ab possible...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

I'd appreciate an authoritative answer, what (likely) caused my observed bug, as I only concluded from my limited given knowledge. Thanks.

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

After removing the foreign files from bios/ pndrun obviously doesn't throw the bad BIOS file: errors anymore, but also the input: bad key: errors vanished! Still possible that it was the external controllers legacy, but the immediate closeness of the 2 forementioned error lines makes me guess...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

It appears it likely had to to with invalid files (rtf and txt) in bios/ causing that bug. The bug was persistently kept once it occured and a pcsx.cfg existed, where it likely caused some corruption/exception. If a pcsx.cfg file got written written (even if you made no changes to the defaults...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

I don't have any heavy modifications I'm aware of! 1) In Pandafe for the Playstation platform I added "bin" to the recognized ROM filetypes. 2) My ROM file structure is as follows, derived from this my own hint. path/to/roms/psx/   genre1/      game1.cue      game1.bin    ...

Release PCSX ReARMed r22 - now using the DSP

This long standing bug cited below is still affecting PCSX as of r21. It is a serious bug, just may has not been considered, as not many people launch PCSX via Pandafe, or other launchers which use command line arguments to pass a certain ROM filepath to PCSX. Would very much appreciate a fix...

SuperZaxxon v1.71 (final major release) released!

Bug report: Every switch back to XFCE (from Pandafe) creates a new SystemSettings icon instance in the system panel By the system panel I mean the (default) bottom panel in XFCE. By SystemSettings I mean the grey icon with the pliers and screwdriver, which opens a dropdown menu for quickly...

    Release Gambatte w/QT gui

Feature suggestion: Assignable hotkeys to cycle through color-palettes or dedicated keys to call up certain color-palettes for use during gameplay As of now cycling through color palettes is cubmersome: deep within menu, no live visualization but need to apply, and bring up dialogue again fur...

    Pandora PNDManager

@B-Zar: You could improve the usability/readability of your information policy: The first post in this thread mentions this, "Fixed in latest (1.3.11.0):", then the full log in a spoiler section. If you add a date next to the version number, it would further increase certainty within the...

    Release Gambatte w/QT gui

Bug report: Gambatte does not properly enter into and awake from low power mode (aka sleep, aka standby) If you awake from Low Power Mode (aka Standby), Gambatte acts weird as it tries to "catch up the time sleeped" (fast forwarding all the missed frames), regardless wether you have had...

    Release Gambatte w/QT gui

@apersonthinks, thanks! Meanwhile @notaz has made me aware that relatively few game cartridges on the SEGA Megadrive had saving cababilities (160 of 952 = 17% as listed on on MobyGames), similarly so for the Game Boy. Although relatively more Game Boy games had game saves (251 of 620 = 40% on...

    Release PicoDrive revival (1.9x)

MobyGames has a filtering attribute "Battery Backed RAM". The labeling of this flag is not optimal, as they use it as an umbrella term for "any game cartridge with saving capabilities", regardless with which technique (EPROM, battery power RAM, etc), but we get what we want, in this case. So...

    Release PicoDrive revival (1.9x)

So those ROM-only catrigde games... ... offering highscores was only meant for being enjoyed as long as the device was continuously running, best real use case, a video gaming party, where you wanted to impress your following players, or yourself during keeping the device on, or note the score...

    Release PicoDrive revival (1.9x)

Battery save not working? Game settings (i.e. music ON for Klax) and Hi-scores (i.e. Shadow of the Beast, Klax) are lost upon the next loading session. I dunno how the Genesis was implemented to save data (cartridge-side and or the console too?), but the writing functions in Picodrive...
