My worst experience with the android kernel was a few years ago that it had a hardcoded group which you must be a member of to have network access. Even if you were root you can't have network access without being in this group. We had some fun with an Android kernel chrooting into a Debian FS.
Mana Khemia is a bit slow with alpha blending on, since it uses it a lot and the power vr gpu is slow at it. But it runs fine and I play it a lot, especally with alpha blending completly of (some artifacts but mos time full speed) on a rebirth.
I think the problem is to use Virtualization with HW acceleration. If you want to have an Android in a Debian running, the Android has to use the hw acceleration through the VM in Debian. The Alien Dalvik sounds like a good solution.
