Hmm... for me its a bit overpriced and the CPU could be faster and/or an FPGA (It looks like its too slow for alpha blending). But the Display could look really interesting and bright. I wonder how my Avatar would look on it. *googles for LED Matrix*

Well there should be no reason that it isn't possible. At least they have Free 3d Drivers (But Closed Graphics Firmware AFAIK and probably an Closed BIOS/UEFI).
As said that depends on the Model: Some old Classic Units can't boot without an Battery. However my 2 months old Classic one does boot without Battery. You can ask ED to make sure that its one that boots without an Battery (you have to mention that you don't want an Battery anyway).
Umm... We already have an highly ARM optimized Playstation Emulator that already does Great on the OpenPandora: http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=package.pcsx_rearmed.notaz It even has an "Double resolution rendering" Feature for 3d stuff. Or am i missing something?
