I definitely see the point about microSD using much less space. The fact that we now have 64GB microSD card at reasonable price will not make using microSD a dealbreaker for me. But honnestly I would much prefer the conveniance of using my existing card and being able to user larger and cheaper...
Even if the controller is quite good... it just seem like a normal console controller. I doesn't seem portable at all, especially with the stand for the tablet.
So the market is basically people who have a tablet and want to game at home but don't want/have a console.
All digital project have a native resolution (3LCD; DLP; LCOS). Obviously some do a better job at scalling than other.
Or is it that you actually have a CRT projector ? :) Actually I thought about getting one of those years ago but they are huge and kinda unpractical. They were very cool...
I agree about the cheaper upgrade price for preorder. The upgrade price is currently very steep. If people that preordered could upgrade for 200$, i thing they would be more likely to do so. Then again, they would expect they Pandora quickly.
I don't know how much Craig pays for the 1ghz unit...
Didn't actually watch the video, only read the description. I see your point... "reinventing the lightbulb". It sounds like they are the only one using RGB leds.
I was a bit surprised by that project too. The same thing already exist with a infrared remote.
Reading about it it seems to be doing a quite clever Wifi Mesh...
Using a smartphone when you want to turn the light on or off sound just stupid to me though. Yes you can still use your normal...
Thanks for the sharing the links... looks interesting. I am sure a number of people have seen the Computer chronicles (http://archive.org/details/computerchronicles). I wasn't even born in 1982, but I still find it interesting to learn about computing back in the day.
I am wandering though...
Bitcoin can most definitely be stolen. They rely on cryptography and no central autority. The bitcoin site can explain the detail better than me.
Basically bitcoin wallet are protected by a key which should be kept private (and encrypted with a passphrase). The person who as the key can use...
I just bought the game. I like the simplicity of the Pandora repo. No DRM and no bullshit.
I am wandering how many sale you will managed to get. Obviously the Pandora is a small market. I saw there are 22 download but that seem to include people who downloaded multiple times.
I've got an original CC Pandora and don't have a problem with the volume wheel. I definitely agree the sound coming out of Pandora is awesome :)
And you can drive a real headphone with it. With pretty much any other device you would need a portable headphone amp to get similar result.
I don't it is worth offering this. You would obviously have to go through a 3rd party and the rate would be high. Also you are shipping Pandora all arround the word. Already offering this for a few country might be quite a hassle dealing with the company.
At the end of the day the volume of...
Some great improvement there :) Just upgraded from beta 1
I am wondering if it makes any sense to run under 500mhz (or even 600mhz) with the new powersaving mode. Maybe the present for under 500mhz should be removed. Also does the setting for OPP work with the new kernel ?
I noticed that...
Some people just seem to buy one apple product after the other. I've got to say 399$ for the wifi version is pretty competitive.
Apple does have soemthing when it comes to hardware but way too much hype and it's crazy how closed iOS is. It makes me sad to see that for many people the future of...
The cortex A-9 seems to take a loonng time beofore loading the next page at one point. If they are loading this from the internet it sure doesn't seem like the best way. I would imagine there are some better benchmark for testing rendering speed.
From what I have read the Cortex-A15 should be...
There were some talk about this before:
As far as I know I have not seen a solution for japanese input in the main OS. Drack seemed to be interested trying to get it woking at the time so maybe you could PME him.
Personnaly I haven't really tried to be honnest. Japanese input on the linux...
I don't know were you can find the best benchmark but there are tablets currently shipping with this SoC: http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/cortex-a8-allwinner-a10/
I have to say the Ainol Novo 7 Aurora which uses this SoC seems pretty impresive for a sub 200$ tablet: Winner A10, 1.2GHz, 1GB of...
I have been suspending my Pandora using the new kernel... haven't actually played with it much. Suspend does really wonders in term of battery life compare to before. Not quite sure how many days it would be... I could probably test it with a full battery charge :)
I did howver run into a...
