I got my email yesterday... feels a bit surreal after all this time.
I suspect it'll be the first Pyra to ship to Japan. Evildragon can probably confirm ;)
I'll share a picture once it arrives.
Part of mailing list point to an URL with an invalid certificate. I know this is nothing new and has been discussed/mentioned before (1).
pyra-handheld.com:1717 uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for rhea.dragonbox.de.
Scenario:

Glad to hear that. The Pyra is quite a unique device/project
But really, if you change your mind, I don't think you should feel bad about asking for a refund. Those thing happen.
A few cancellation and a few new order here and there... seems to equate out overall.
Issue would be many people...
Same observation, watched the recorded version.
I see, no experience with it but seems like a cool technology. I suspect the added cost and complexity must be significant.
Pyra is just a resistive touchscreen. It just could not support this. As you mentioned some form of multi-touch and I...
@deep
I also don't know what is the status 3 you're referring to.
Pyra uses a resistive screen (as opposed to the capacitive one on most smartphone). Meaning you can use anything that applies adequate pressure on the screen and it will work. Stylus typically have a slightly rounded tip to...
Watched the recorded version, I enjoyed it. Thank ;)
Learned a few additional things about the Pyra (e.g. nubs). It was also nice to hear about your gaming history and more.
I think the same live format with chat would be great to showcase the Pyra once the prototype can boot the actual...
Seems interesting but I wonder how well maintained it is.
Link for the Android version on Google play store is brroken... It's not in the store anymore. They have a direct link to a .APK in a news update from last year.
As Evildragon said nothing changed.
I still believe there is no configuration issue with the webserver / told setup and it is all the result of the specific CA not being included in all devices. It's a shame and I would ask support or get a cert elsewhere.
The reality is that people getting...
You're right DNS resolution resolution seem to be intermediately broken (!)
FYI link comes from this Digicert page: https://www.digicert.com/digicert-root-certificates.htm
Thanks for the confirmation. Last (official) android for droid 4 appear to be Android 4.1. Are you running that ?
You do realize you're not getting security update on such an old device, right ? (don't get me started on Android update and manufacturer. It's a mess)
You should be able to...
We both agree about IOS (as you said it's just a wrapper) ;)
Firefox has always shipped it's own CA store with policy regarding CA inclusion
https://wiki.mozilla.org/CA:FAQ
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/governance/policies/security-group/certs/
On desktop go to Firefox Options >...
As other mentioned Firefox uses it's own list of trusted CA and TLS library. (for Desktop and also Android it seems but not IOS)
The error indicate the root CA 'DigiCert Global Root G2' is not trusted (not installed on system...)
The certificate for this website require this CA. There is no...
No problem with either Chrome or Firefox on my Nexus 5x. I suspect it has to do with the android version.,
Anyway to get more info that "ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID" on Chrome mobile ?
I can not reproduce the issue so cant say for sure but considering the multiple report here, i think it is real. (and not just a wrong clock / incorrect setup / very old browser).
The first answer on stack overflow mention it is due the server returning an extra certificate.
Although I never...
Thanks for the update and sharing all simulation result !
Such openness is what make this project truly special.
I guess 2018 will be the year of the Pyra !
I am not sure why there is so much concern with the 4GB issue.
It is actively being worked on and it *already* works with a slightly higher voltage.
Progress might not be as fast as some people would like but it does not seems like a major show-stopper.
I don't think the 4GB issue will be the...
That look pretty nice ! So small...
I still think the idea having a fan in a small mobile handheld is weird but why not. Especially if it's a good quality fan which is quiet.
And really the fan is likely only needed in continuous high load or other special cases. And it can always be turned...
