Money makes the world go round.

Nope, they are supposed to be your "shield" for the Pyra ;-)

How does the Pyra install the OS?

Oh I think I am starting to get your point (please tell me if I am wrong, I'd like to get this one although my skills regarding this domain are still at beginner stage, growing slowly) : the issue is because of the installer, while the InternetCube (or any RaspberryPi-like board as far as I...

Money makes the world go round.

There are already some on the market, plugged using USB ; they are called "Arduino" or, better "PJRC Teensy"

How does the Pyra install the OS?

There is a U-boot directory in the repository so I thought it used uboot too (well I thought it did before I checked but the directory is actually there so I am quite confident it does)

How does the Pyra install the OS?

Well, I know it works on the Internet Cube and it is also an ARM platform booting from a micro-SD card, so I guess it should be possible. Maybe someone who feels at ease with shell (i.e. not me, sorry) could have a look at the repository.

    Pyra production & ethics

Well... The Fairphone focuses on ethical minerals, this is their main advertised selling point, and they cannot get all of them from conflict free areas ; and the company, although way smaller than Samsung and their competitors, is still quite bigger than the Pyra team. I agree it would be nice...

Quite a bit for you to read!

I guess it depends on the mechanical part, I did it with my laptop once or twice (luckily it only ejected a dummy SD), you know, just handling the PC in one hand and moving around to show whatever happened on the screen and... Press... Click! Not good if the OS or even /home is there I...

Quite a bit for you to read!

    @Calculus asked for SD, not micro-SD ;-)

Quite a bit for you to read!

I suppose it allows more testing of various OS versions. I must admit I am in a sort of "well whatever" way of thinking here ; I expected to have my /home on the internal µSD and the actual OS on the eMMC but I can do without this if need be. I'll keep neutral in the second Pyra war then :-)...

    We've started to order things!

Well, you never know how long a dragon might sleep ^^ I am not sure how dragons fit with humour though, it might be that they cannot handle it, or that they are just making fund of us all the time at a level that is so high we just cannot notice it.

    We've started to order things!

Thanks @levi ! So I guess I am even (shortly) before 950 then. Or better depending on the 40-70 missed upgrades and potential additionnal cancellations. Good to know, although it does not change the fact I shall patiently wait, reading the boards on the way. Edit : Thanks to @Grench for the...

    We've started to order things!

Or perhaps you mean "What is your current order number, please?" :D By the way, where can I actually get my order number (at least the initial one huh) ? I mean, appart from looking at the order date (which leads me to knowing I am roughly around 950 - 1000 or so)

    Modem interfaces (voice,data,...)

Yup, just install DavDroid (you can find it on GooglePlay or, better, F-Droid). You can also import a csv to Own/Next Clowd too. There are very good chances libraries exist for syncing with CardDav, it is a very common standard.

    Modem interfaces (voice,data,...)

For contact sync maybe OwnCloud / NextCloud could be interesting too : it uses CalDav and WebDav for contacts, agenda and list sync. And you can create a free account on Framasoft's instance Framagenda for example, which is free in both ways (as in free beer and free speech) ; an extra way of...

    I'm not dead yet...

@Klumpen if Granny Weatherwax is in for healing ED, I guess he will feel a lot better before she arrives, just in case she tries to be nice to him xD @EvilDragon take care of yourself, and take your time for that, it is important for you and for the Pyra, and therefore for us

    GPU thoughts

Still in development but you may have a look at Tux-Gi-Oh / Gnu-Gi-Oh ; I am not interested but I saw it in several posts on Diaspora* / Framasphere and thought about it when you mentionned that. Not sure it is what you are after, though...

    Pyra Christmas Present unboxing

OK so if on the next video we see ED has a reversed Pyra logo printed on his forehead or cheek we know who punched him because he worked too much ^^ @mclien you did an amazing job, congratulations !

Open Source GPU Drivers for Qualcomm Adrenos

What would you like to see?

On my PC the difference in terms of performance is far from negligible, 0.9.x needs much more GPU power :-/ But then, I think Jessie sticks to 0.8. *If* it runs on the Pyra, we may have to keep this version in the Pyra repositories to keep something playable. Wait and see, I guess it's a but...

    Power, Memory and Schematics

Thank you for your transparency regarding the process, this is much appreciated. You now have one more pre-order \o/ I can see you are more willing to finish the Pyra properly even if it means some delay rather than shipping a flawed product : that is also a very good reason for me to follow...
