Hobbies and interests: share your ideas for making the best of our time...

I am part of a group creating a whole fictional universe so boredom is not something I experience, there is so much to do ^^ I also write some novels in this universe. And would like to write more (but here is a baby at home, takes a lot of attention). It is mostly in French currently but if you...

You didn't expect this, I guess.

Wouldn't copper be more efficient than lead ? What...? Oh no, don't bother answering, I'm already far away unreachable because of confinement...

Pyra news partially stale from the dragon's mouth

Not skeletal actually, Death changed from the flaming skeletal one (which was not very comfortable and tended to set the robes aflame if I remember well) to Binky, a nice big white horse :-)

    Preparing for a Prototype

It depends on the client I suppose, but usually (at least in the ones I use) it is just specifies that the message was encrypted, you don't see the random garbage text

    Preparing for a Prototype

Well, pix-art blinks red everywhere when encryption is not enabled, it is pretty hard to miss it. It uses omemo by default, which is implemented in most clients nowadays (appart from movim because of the social network functionalities but you can use pix-art with a movim.eu account ant use the...

I don't see the problem with that, all the clients I mentionned have omemo...

    Preparing for a Prototype

XMPP and Matrix are both fully end to end encrypted, FLOSS (client and server), and decentralized, and therefore much more advisable in my opinion. I use XMPP and easily configured it on my non-tech family's smartphones (Conversation or Pix-Art on android, there is a app for IOS too), and of...

    Pyra Control Pad DIY

If you go that way, I'd suggest teensy LC instead of Arduino : smaller, cheaper, more powerful, Arduino-compatible (software-wise) and with pre-configured keyboard, mouse and joystick compatibility. No I do not have any profit in advertising the company (pjrc.com) :) I can't say more on the...

    Preparing for a Prototype

Maybe a stupid question as I read diagonally but did you try th use the sync command after you dd your installation SD card on your laptop ? This makes sure the writing process is fully finished before you remove the card from the slot

So, what's the current status of everything?

Sometimes Death takes a bike, too. See the documentary "Good Omens" for more details (Pratchett again, yey !)

So, what's the current status of everything?

Good news for the Pyra in the current decade : it only starts in a bit more than one year ; just like the 21st century started on the 1st January 2001 (not 2000). Yey ! I mean, this is true if we use the strict usage as defined in the century article in Wikipedia, which is how I use it too...

So, what's the current status of everything?

I'd rather estimate it to two months, your estimate of two monts seems a bit short to me

    Preparing for a Prototype

Probably Super Tux Kart will not work, at least the latest versions (9.x+) because they need a higher version of OpenGL than what the Pyra can do if I remember correctly. But Versions 8.x might be able to run :) Not sure about the rest :-#

Even more to see here (now)

Yey everyone send boxes to ED so that we have moar news ! XD What do you mean by "l won't get my Pyra faster this way"? Nah it's all in your head. Wut ? Who am I talking to? I guess "my other me's" is not the best answer if I don't want to go back "there", right...?
