Pandora at Replay 2011 - Retro Gaming Expo - Let's meet up

If it was a little more in the neighborhood, I would have come to the meeting too. At the moment I'm so broke that I need to sell my Pandora to even attend a meeting next door. And that is not gonna happen! :P Great to see some pictures of fellow Pandora owners, and of course the infamous...

Comment on the avatar of the previous poster

Scooby-Doo! Ah, the good old days of hardcore couch-potato-ness. This series came on television at 06:00 AM when I was little. Oh yeah, it was a glorious time.

    Release VVVVVV for Pandora

I have the original on Steam (bought via on of the Humble Bundles a little while back). Would love to see this on the Pandora, as well as several other games from previous Humble Bundles. :P

    GP2X Caanoo or Dingoo

I would go with the Dingoo series. GamePark Holdings recently stated that they won't be producing any new hardware due to bad sales of the Caanoo. Which means that the Caanoo will be their last hardware unit. In my opinion the Caanoo was obsolete if they designed the Wiz a little better. But...

The iCP coding competition is 'unfair'

I think the title of the thread is a bit misleading. It's not "unfair" to anyone to organize a competition for operating system X or peripheral X. I reckon Craig has very good reasons for this. But then again, we might not get a straight answer as to why this is being done. Maybe it's because...

The iCP coding competition is 'unfair'

Just to make sure: I didn't create this thread myself. I just placed a comment on the competition thread and it got separated from there. By no means I'm against any competition whatsoever, but I just find it rather strange why Craig would run an Android competition instead of a Pandora...

    Announcing Droidora - - - HELP WANTED

The current Linux based operating system, in combination with the PND system and the PND Store, is very easy to use. Even for the average person without much knowledge of computers in general. Although a decent build-in tutorial system wouldn't hurt. In the sense of: CPU shows you how to do...

The iCP coding competition is 'unfair'

For some reason this competition seems so out of place. One of the main developers of a console is giving out money and goodies for developing something for a third-party "eco-system". In all seriousness: why isn't this competition being held for the Pandora? Or is that also in the making? :P...

Website Update - Help welcome :)

The specifications of the Pandora have been transcended by modern smartphones in the same price category. So, it's not a very smart thing to sell the Pandora based on just specifications of the hardware. In my opinion the old review site of Craigix for the GP2X F-100 was a pretty good example of...

    I want the whole repo

This can be easily overcome if a decent synchronization system is setup. With the right software and knowledge this is pretty much peanuts. The complete Milkshake Repo can be linked to a synchronization system which is then linked to an FTP. Files are copied in all directions, including changes...

    I want the whole repo

A periodic torrent with the whole repo would be very nice. Maybe once every six months a new torrent with the whole repo, and monthly update packs with every new and changed PNDs? This also saves a lot of stress and bandwidth on the server(s)! Plus it's a complete welcome package for any newbie...

Release Zaxxon Hotfix 6 - Beta 1 released!

I think you didn't read it properly, as the nubs didn't react anymore (as in totally dead), no matter what mode they were in (mouse, joystick, etc.). The hotfix unrelated comment was towards the WiFi problem.

Release Zaxxon Hotfix 6 - Beta 1 released!

After exiting the game AAAA my nubs wouldn't work anymore. Restarting the Pandora and pulling out the battery wouldn't help either, and the nubs became stuck. The nub configurator didn't help either, as resets did not register on the nubs. I reflashed the Pandora with Hotfix 5 and now things are...

Just installed the new hotfix and currently testing out some stuff. Installation was a breeze, like always.

    SEGA Dreamcast

Also make sure to keep an eye on the website DCS (http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/) for the occasional new title that comes out. Yes, they still make games for the Dreamcast!

    Pandora at The Escapist

Hardware specifications usually are not used to their maximum capacity on homebrew devices like the GP32, GP2X, Wiz, Caanoo, Dingoo, the Pandora and others. So complaining things are outdated is really something I can have a laugh about everytime I see a comment like that pop up. Surely more...

    retro-games for the little ones?

I was about to say the same. Especially World of Illusion is very good, where the kids can even team up as Mickey and Donald instead of going at it alone as either one of them. The game features some light co-op things like pulling each other through tiny spaces and such things, and the visuals...
