AFAIK it's the full original source. I've heard that the code is currently very "Windowsy" but people have cloned it trying to convert over to things like SDL2
How did you enthuse your son into that... mine just wants to play Minecraft or KSP obsessively... Can't get him interested into any aspect of programming/development.. xD

I enjoyed the mini resurgence on the Wii but obviously with how it worked, the aiming wasn't 1:1 like a light-gun. It would be nice if something could properly fill their shoes and bring the genre back with some updated visuals.

Thanks for this! I finally got some time to try this out and it's quite nice. ES feels better overall although I did notice some minor glitches. ES2 felt more like the original software rendering, i.e. a little sluggish around 20-30fps.

Well relatively modest *Shrugs* I'm aware we don't have GLES3 on Pandora but there is maybe something useful *shrugs again*

I'd like to request uoYabause - http://www.uoyabause.org/ I noticed it does mention GLES 3, but I don't know if that is a hard requirement or optional.
The fork is supposedly optimised to run on modest hardware.
