After around 2 years of pandemic, I likely have Covid... yay? -_-
First my son, then my wife, I've started feeling it today, just as the grand clown thinks it's a great idea to lift all the restrictions.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hope everyone has had a nice time and rest! :)
Another mini update here:
Fixed the transparency/keying issues that were remaining in Arena.
Did a bit of an audit for the current status.
I hope to have a bit more concentrated time before I'm back at work but...
Been a bit busier again in work and life, so things have slowed down a lot. It maybe after Xmas I get to sit down to dev some more and grab some screenshots. Point taken though!
In the meantime you can look up the Pandora pnd on in the repo. The PND has a few screens embedded.
Here's the...
Sorry I meant to @ptitSeb - I meant is it possible/feasible/likely that the 3.4 GD runtime (not editor) could run with GLES2 on Pandora. Not that your (@KidPaddle ) compiled Pyra runtime could work there! Sorry that's what I get for rushing a forum post!
Thanks for the further testing!
I can adjust particles and such for better performance.
The Arena game is very nice, but I have not yet converted all of the colourkeyed assets to real transparency, so this is a known issue at this point.
I'll try and investigate what's going on with those...
https://github.com/pokeparadox/SolarSystemGD
Hey folks, can anyone run this simple GD project on a Pyra?
It should hopefully run nicely. Also what would be the normal steps to prep a Godot game to run on Pyra (I don't have one. xD)
Obviously there's PandoraPanic! too, but it's still quite early...
Great to see more ideas springing up! I wonder, could a colourblind mode be handled by some form of global shader?
I've managed to find a little more time!
Added Arena mini game - this makes all of the WIP ports that I had now in the repo and somewhat playable.
Added the status/transition...
I didn't feel right in derailing the other thread more so I post this here
@elw3
Maybe you are just trying to be funny - I'm not sure it came across like that if that's the case. Should we make an agreement here that any mini games contributed are "fair game" for porting PP! to Panik and visa...
I don't understand the attitude here. If you don't like Godot then that's fair enough. PP! is also available in C++. I personally use Godot since I have waaaay less free time than I used to and can't maintain my own game engine and make games. I like the features the engine provides and the...
I just tried the original pnd on my Pandora and it's working ok and I haven't seen any other non-working complaints. I suggest you delete and redownload from the repo.
If you want builds for this, then yes Godot is multi-platform so it's straightforward to do Win or Linux exports. Just install...
Another update:
Plander mini game has win and lose conditions and mostly feature complete - fixed particles (Some bugs but basics are there)
Added BadVista mini game - Has win condition but currently no lose condition
If you want to help out, then feel free to make/port a mini-game. I'll try...
Another update from the latest commit:
https://github.com/pokeparadox/PandoraPanicGD/commit/9ccf463f852175795c11c3ae8110663366af4938
TLDR:
Mini game switching now working
Added Scoring APIs:
Score.GameWin()
Score.GameLose()
Minigame scenes to go in "res://Games/" folder
Two example "games"...
OK Bit of an update!
Firstly I broke my toe! OUCH! so that put a halt on all plans at first but now it's getting a lot better!
Next I reviewed a bit more closely what I ad up and running and I didn't really like it. I've decided to start again and tried to do things a little more cleanly and...
I've reviewed what I had already started and it looks like I last worked on it using Godot 2. I'll have to bring it up to date and fix some bugs migrating it to Godot3.
Thanks for the positive response all!
We'll see how that goes - I guess it's possible but I need to get the basics up and...
