    Zikzak - crummiest 8bit console/computer ever .. but I'm making it!

I'll tag along in the forums. At the moment I'm concerned with building a BeagleLogic LogicAnalyzer to troubleshoot a Galaga Arcade machine that is having random, nearly impossible to troubleshoot, issues. On top of that, a friend recently tossed me a TI-99/4A that I can't seem to stay away...

    Colorful week

That's what I suspected, no new evidence here, just an old un-optimized board that currently appears to be broken. Not "bringing it to you" TrashyMG, just trying to take part in the nicer part of the conversation, if that is even possible at this point in this thread...

Tesla's new model S - now with crippleware?

"Tesla added a 75kWh battery pack to the car and the extra power and range can be unlocked via a software update if the owner needs to do so. Of course, there's an added cost involved for the update, but exact pricing for that hasn't been revealed." I would call that a statement. One that says...

    Zikzak - crummiest 8bit console/computer ever .. but I'm making it!

I'm having trouble defining PIC/non-PIC code. I've been following along here for some time and am very interested in the Z80 architecture. Are we talking Position Independent Code? Sounds like it based on the issues with the address start points stemming from ADL mode. I'm mostly familiar...

    Colorful week

That's exactly what I thought when TrashyMG came in with his video. I know from the Linux-Swat discussion with his board that we learned TrashyMG had Trashed his devboard. Also, I finally caught up with this terrible thread. I'd much rather see technical discussions. Like the ZikZak for example.

Tesla's new model S - now with crippleware?

Yikes, that there, for me, rules out doing any future business with Tesla.

[Roadmap] Using the Cortex M4 CPUs

Power management: – Local power-management control: Configurable through the WUGEN_IPU registers. – Three sleep modes supported, controlled by the local power-management module. – IPU is clock-gated in all sleep modes. – INTC_IPU interrupt interface stays awake. To me that says that the sleep...

[Roadmap] Using the Cortex M4 CPUs

Not sure about needing or wanting a linux kernel in the M4s. I just ate and am being lazy about looking things up but it sounds like the M4s are like the PRUs in the Beaglebone Black. Probably best used for long term processes as put here If the M4s also have a scratch pad memory to do one...

    JXD S192

Interesting. Most people hate the Wii U because of its gamepad controller and here we have a super version of it. I realize this has much more potential than the Wii U gamepad could ever have, just pointing out there are some similarities. The retina display on this JXD S192 is a really nice...

    Zikzak - crummiest 8bit console/computer ever .. but I'm making it!

Great work. I really want to build one of these now. I've thought a lot about building a Z80 machine lately because I am working on a Galaga Arcade machine with three Z80 in it. I look forward to my alerts that you have posted more information.

Classic XBox DVD Drive Won't Read Games - HELP!

Yeah, a lot has changed since I was modding these machines. I'm tempted to dig mine out.

Classic XBox DVD Drive Won't Read Games - HELP!

How does one go about soft modding the Xbox without using the DVD-ROM for an exploitable game disc? Unless we're talking about opening the case anyhow for something like ATA swapping into a PC to write to the XBOX HDD, or flashing TSOP.

Indeed, hardware hacking is the only reason I own two Pandora. Agreed.

Wikipedia "List of commercial video games with available source code": Feedback and input requested

Seriously shaddim? Lighting a fire under the ass of a guy that never stops moving? Nice work! I'll have to check a few of these titles out. As always, great work ptitSeb! Unreal would be a sight to see on the Pandora.

    Update LIRC 0.9.4b (IRToy/Girs/FTDI)

Very nice. This reminds me, I need to figure out running SUMP on the Pandora. IR Logic Analyzer would be a lot of fun. Plus I just got all parts in to build a BeagleLogic BeagleBone Black based Logic Analyzer that also uses SUMP.
