How to run NetBSD on Pyra and OpenPandora?

Hello, BSD operating systems are extremely good. FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD have outstanding performances and are high quality software. This makes BSD ideally suited for any use, namely servers, desktop, gaming,... media centers. NetBSD would/could/... be well suited for Pyra and...

Slackware Linux distro for OpenPandora armhf ?

Thanks. Slackware didn't boot. I am trying to get NetBSD to run on this openpandora. NetBSD with desktop would be more advanced, ... stable, and faster than Linux. I created ext2, with the netbsd kernel but I guess autoboot.txt cannot load a kernel7.img of BSD ? @Swat: Salut Linux-Swat! Tu...

    COVID-19 / Coronavirus Pandemic

It first started when EU decided to add "cookie popup" on internet few years ago. Likely you would backup the videos. Brussel is EU. Strange that EU goes into this fascism direction. Governmental propaganda / offices have access to medias but also the web. So, your videos will be deleted from...

    COVID-19 / Coronavirus Pandemic

Most people that have COVID have been vaccinated three times (mRNA vaccines). Besides, no one has ever discussed if the tests are really valid. Any validity of the test? This is then easier to fake stats, in order to achieve X results. Rates: dying from car accident, daily smoking,... are far...

    COVID-19 / Coronavirus Pandemic

People are likely to be vaccinated in EU. That they want or not, really. In some regions, in Germany, the shops are already divided in 2 : 1.) one area for people vaccinated 2.) second area of the shop, for people non vaccinated. At entrance, they ask for vaccination papers.

Could the Pyra be cheaper and available for *BSD ?

I am using a RPI3 and RPI4. Glad that there is not Autoboot.txt ! really. u-boot on SD/MMC is very cool. A possible solution to reduce the cost would be to suppress the NAND "Harddisk". Anyhow we dont need the nand, since we use the SD/MMC all the time. +1: it would be lighter and thinner...

Any possibility of this running PS2 emulators?

I need to try on pandora. I never managed to get NDS on work on RPI 3b, though, even with reducing the FB size in config.txt to 800x600.

Any possibility of this running PS2 emulators?

Did the drastic NDS on pandora work fine? On rpi3b using fbdev, it is still very slow. no way to play "dogs, cat friends" ... and so on. NFS neither.

Could the Pyra be cheaper and available for *BSD ?

unfortunately, this is what we have expected. Low salaries and job conditions. Well, EU was about 20 years ago, aware that the delocalization of industry to Asia incl. China was necessity. We see the result today.

Could the Pyra be cheaper and available for *BSD ?

I think that this image is very very likely to work on it, however how to boot it??? Cheaper is kinda interesting. Rather big question, how can the pinebook64 be somehow significantly cheaper.

Any possibility of this running PS2 emulators?

My raspberry pi 4 rpi4b - 4GB is an amazing ARM gaming machine - which can: boswars, 0ad, supertuxkart, and sauerbraten. including Dolphin for Gamecube. PS2 is however a no go. Which means that it is very unlikely that Pyra can play PS2 games. On the RPI4: cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep Bogo...

Could the Pyra be cheaper and available for *BSD ?

Hello, I consider to order a mini arm machine as a notebook replacement. Very light and thin: pinebook64. It is very affordable and sufficiently powerful. It would replace my notebook, getting older. However Pyra is interesting project, keep going ! Could the device Pyra be slightly cheaper...
