In the interest of saving SD card space are there any good(and if possible free) A/V encoding programs that can do H.264 video with FLAC audio? Is this a stupid question? I'm looking for windows and Linux options.

I'm a little confused, are we talking about the OS or web browser?, also is Pandora getting the google-infected Chrome or the open source Chromium? If it's the google-infected Chrome will I be able to delete it from my Pandora?
am I correct that the Linux option: PSX Memory Card Manager, while it can edit & save gamesaves, requires the user to actually build a device to interface with the program?
On the issue of the official PS3 Memory Card Adaptor, it looks like it quite likely will work for transferring...
I don't have the link right now, but I got a response from JayFoxRox in a thread I made about this very topic awhile ago. If I remember correctly he basically said his beagleboard had died, so he wouldn't be able to do any more work on his emulator, likely until he got a Pandora and not to look...
actually, I have no idea.. my knowledge of this issue is practically zilch. I had just assumed that the "mini games"(or whatever you want to call all those little games like the ones in Pocket MuuMuu) were transferred to and saved on PocketStation in the same manner(and similar format) as...
I wonder, if using the PlayStation 3 memory card adaptor, could we connect a PocketStation to Pandora(through usb) in order to play Final Fantasy VIII's Chocobo World? Are there Linux driver files Pandora could use for the PS3 memory card adaptor and does PSX4Pandora save using its own unique...
I think Grobi must be referring to either Spok or Tuvok, because as far as I'm aware there aren't any Vulcans of Spanish or Mexican descent. The part about them screwing with the airplanes though has me kind of confused, because that doesn't sound very logical at all...
Having sent a similar list of questions to Zodttd something like, four months ago and never getting a reply, I would also be interested to know the answers to BaDToaD's inquiries.
thanks for the tip kaprikawn! I think I remember reading about Ruby Ripper awhile ago(the name is very familiar) If anybody else can weigh in on Ruby Ripper compatibility with our beloved Pandora that would be appreciated.
What about using an external dvd drive+Pandora to rip cd's to flac? Would that work at decent speeds, and if so what program would the Pandora have to use to make it happen?
As I have said, I'm not familiar with how well the Pandora compares to an average laptop(I know it's less powerful). Also my laptop had problems before I got it, I've always ended up with other peoples abandoned computers and my laptop is no exception, some of the keys are starting to fall off...
Assuming you have an external(usb connected) dvd drive like this one for instance(or any other one for that matter, I guess), can the Pandora be used to rip movies from it and encode them to h.264, & music cd's to flac? I assume that because the Pandora is a lower-power device the process would...
While this isn't exactly random, and yes I realize they live all over the planet, ->if<- they all got together it would be really awesome to have a complete "team Pandora" group photo(like a jpeg or something) we could use as our Pandora's desktop wallpaper.

I was thinking it would be a fun game to have for the Pandora, and the source code will be available(when you purchase the game). The guy that made it is letting people pre-order it on his website for $9 USD, the pre-order will be available for 2 more...
Yes, I am intending to use the external hdd with my (future)Pandora as a storage vault to offload things from my single 32GB SDHC card(larger 500GB, 1&2TB, affordable SDXC cards are a long ways off... :( ), I'm just preparing things now so that when I finally have mine I'll be able to just dive...
What should I use to format an external hard drive to the current(or best version of) ext4? I assume there aren't any windows-based programs that would allow me to do this, so if possible I'd like to do it from some live cd(or live dvd) with a desktop interface(I don't know how to deal with a...
