ED,
I PM'ed you the gist of this too, but I'm a 2/2010 Craig customer and I've never gotten an email from him. Not this new one, not ever. What am I supposed to do? I have no idea what's in the email.
I told him I never received any of his emails months ago. We had a short exchange via pm. I stopped hearing back and haven't heard back since.
I always figured the money was lost. Now I kind of have to swallow the dream of the device, which I always loved, because additional spend is just...
Glad that after giving the team $350, waiting 3+ years, and politely not asking for a refund, I'm not sent an email intended for all original pre-orders. Adding insult to injury, Craig.
Fantastic.
Oh sure, of course. And mail in rebates... if they wanted to give us the discounts, they'd just make the instant and save us the hassle, right? No, of course not. He's hoping folks just let it go forever. It's very obvious no one gives two figs about the existing pre-orders. Otherwise I'd...
Has there been any indication for weeks that Craig is doing anything for existing pre-orders now that things are allegedly "moving."
Of course not.
That's why.
I think the bottom line is I wish I'd ordered from Michael. He obviously cares about the project and continues to work toward the end goal for all his customers.
At the rate I'm seeing folks getting shipping notifications, I'm guessing not great. I'm forced to chime in with a meaningless guess because Craig had repeatedly avoided discussing timetables for the remaining un-upgraded pre-orderers.
I just want the frickin' thing. I don't care if the screen is half as bright as it used to be. I'll just wait another 1-2 years until enough people swoop right in and buy theirs immediately that I can get my early 2010 pre-order.
Guys, it's clearly over. Everything has slowed to a screeching halt again, obviously, even though we were assured it wouldn't. Everything was supposedly all engines go.
I'm not going to ask for my money back. I don't want to go through the embarrassment and hassle of finding out it can't be...
I had every intention of having mine on my E3 meeting table this year with media. Not incredibly appropriate considering I represent a publisher, but I was very excited (at least two years ago) to pimp it to my retro-loving peers.
Because unlike some of you people, I'm not satisfied with a refurb. I don't care if it's been given a full once over. I expect as new a system as OPT is releasing. Hope I didn't misunderstand your statement.
You guys aren't shipping refurb units to long-time pre-orderers, are you? With all this priority given to whoever opens their wallet up the most, I'm starting to think I'm going to get someone's old board.
