Playing through Breath of Fire on my phone waiting for my Pyra. I noticed on romhacking.net there was a translation patch that fixed a few thing so I thought I'd give it a try. I passed it as a kid and can't remember any bad translations but it was a long time ago.
The on screen controls of...
Ah that stinks, I thought it was cool how they made mini and micro interchangeable on the solder points. I guess it wouldn't make sense on USB-C though as mini and micro were the same speed and C is a lot faster. Still going to replace the mini USB on my bike lights with micro. My Zoom H1...
Talking about USB cables and new standards, I remember people soldering in a micro-USB into a NDS so you could charge it with non Nintendo chargers. One site that explained it(long gone since youtube because popular) mentioned that mini usb also could be swapped for micro and the author of this...
I think that was the site I used most of the time. Sad, but if you go to any torrent site the peers on rom torrents now is through the roof. People are grabbing them while they can. I'm thinking if the Movie industry can't get rid of torrents then Nintendo has little chance of doing it so I...
Yeah, every RPG was different. It was always at end game that annoyed me, more complicated mazes and technically your characters are powerful enough to not take much damage but the battles were just annoying.
I thought about this a lot when I was playing 16bit RPGs. I thought enemies could be paid off to skip battles. With millions of GP at end game and nothing left to do with money might as well spend it somewhere.
What I saw he said he was worried the OS wasn't polished enough and he compared it to what the Pandora was like when it was released. I must have not seen it was a test OS. I only saw 10 minutes or so so far.
I got to watch 10 minutes on a break but I'll watch the full thing tonight. I couldn't think of a question to ask, oh well. It looks like everything is moving along though. I was watching when you were talking about the OS, I hoped using debian would have put it farther along. I remember how...
I think you're right, you'll need to 3d print one. I am on the fence thinking 3d printers are nice enough to get now but there are a few 3d print shops where I live, no idea how much they cost, but I they must be pretty reasonably priced since they are still in business. Have you searched out...
I'll be interested more if they make more modules/cases. Like mentioned above a GBA type shell would be cool.
I think this is a really good idea and the OS looks awesome. Not a Pyra, and I doubt you could make a smallish computer modular like this and still have it be pocketable.
The roms are so small for pre PS1 systems and they are out there. Nintendo can sue all they want, roms are never going to be hard to get. Look at the much lager files of music and movies, not hard to find. All this suing is pointless. Roms being available didn't hurt their classic systems...
The case is Polycarbonate though, levi pointed this out. This is why I think Tamiya colors are a better choice. No one will know until someone gets a clear case and try to color it. I might do it if the cases are cheap, I think I remember ED saying $20 USD or Euros when they go up on his...
I think the advantages of these are they are formulated for Polycarbonate. I'm Not Sure though.
Yeah, the Gold on the Odroid go turned out really well. He was correct when he said it looked aged.
Ah crap, I might need to get a clear cases now. So a youtuber I watch frequently, ETA Prime, just customized a Odroid go case with just gold paint. He just sprayed the inside and it looked really cool. His friend used something called Tamiya Color Spray for Polycarbonate and gave the clear...
It looks like I could get as much as $400 for it. How much does the Pyra go for?
I don't feel as bad selling it, I mainly played our model 1 and my sega nomad. I got the CDX brand new on sale at the end of its life, the games by that time were gone or only crapy ones left so I didn't play it...
