    Don't ya just hate it...

Ugh, yeah, on-screen controls are junk. I never got why those weird little controllers for phones and tablets exist until I tried out some emulators on my tablet.

    Don't ya just hate it...

Awww! What did you play? :D I've got nothing left on my phone to play except Sudoku, and that's slowly becoming a no-brainer :( My Pandora turns into a music-only-device at work because else I'll probably start coding on it and never return to my desk for the rest of the day :$ Had the exact...

    Pyra Fanart

@FlapJack it would have been a christmas flashback, but luckily, my dad looked twice at the package and noticed the missing "3G" label before he bought it (got a ps vita that year) ;) well, there's still the option to put the info somewhere on the side of the package (at least the important...

    Pyra Fanart

@FlapJack I didn't mean he'd use the box for anything that comes along, but maybe for a big Pyra accessory pack (case, HDMI cable, SD cards etc). So if that stuff and the Pyra itself would use the exact same box, you wouldn't be able to guess the content just from looking at it. Personally, I...

    Pyra Fanart

Since the logo is only used for the Pyra anyway, that could work :) If ED uses the same packaging for accessories, it would get complicated...

    Pyra Fanart

that'd be cool, yeah :) i'll try to find someone who knows how to get renders like that :D

    Pyra Fanart

@rygD it's not that accurate though :/ i don't know how to handle blender, else i'd try to put an outline shader on the 3D model and vectorize the render :) that way, we could get some nice shots of the front, the back and the lid, too (for the manual and whatnot) :D

    Pyra Fanart

uuuh, sorry for posting into this old thread, but i'm not sure where else to throw this one in :D got bored and built a pyra in inkscape. it's not an hundred percent accurate, but i think it's recognizable enough :3

Oracle to open source Arm jdk 9

For a second there, I thought "Julia" was some sort of variation of amazon's Alexa thingy xD Would give the phrase pair programming a whole new meaning... Nice language though. I haven't used Java for a while because whenever I mentioned it/tried to get people to test my applications, I got a...

    Release sodarunner

Probably not... But I already cheated on the retro part and, instead of re-coloring the same sprite all the time, I have one machine sprite for each brand ;) The ogg files blew the project's size up to over 1MB anyway, so a slightly larger png doesn't worry me much (as long as I can backup it...

Media and Press - who should we contact?

@sulu i love unboxing videos; it's like a remote christmas :D most of the stuff i look at i will never buy because it's too expensive or i simply don't need it. it's still kind of cool, especially when the unboxer is super happy that their product finally arrived or that the box contains some...

    Release sodarunner

@levi yup, i got rid of the vsync issue :) now there's some jittery movement going on sometimes (probably caused by my horribly unoptimized code). uh oh, maybe i messed up the versioning in the pxml and pndmanager doesn't like it... i'll update the package later if that's the case. I'll give...

    Release sodarunner

update! with obstacles and sfx! :D the guy has a shadow now because jumping looked very weird without one. obstacle spawning: on stage 4 on easy, stage 2 on normal, stage 1 on hard and on stage 2 on favs only. i brightened up some colors too so you don't have to crank up your pandora's screen...

Gamescom, sensor upgrade and other nice news

Very very tiny review based on a short testing time: Nubs: I did a few mis-clicks with the nubs, probably because I'm used to manhandling my Pandora's nubs, but that's just something you get used to over time (had the same issue with the PS Vita sticks). The Win's sticks felt kind of "loose"...

Gamescom, sensor upgrade and other nice news

@mclien Oooh nice! I've never built anything like it, but I know some people who could help me with that :D Regarding power consumption, I guess I won't leave it on 24/7, but only show it off on special occasions :)

    Release sodarunner

soon :D there's some obscure bug left that messes up the positions of collision sometimes (aka, your button press timing is correct, but the guy still collides with the obstacle).
