I remember some python programs/games but i didn't remember exactly how to run it on GP2X.

As i discovered myself yesterday newer GCC use -fno-common by default (probably it's not the best explanation...i'm not a programmer), so the code give this kind of error when linking.

After some time spent on compiling a newer version of eduke32 (they switched to an alternative malloc that i wasn't able to compile on Pandora and Pyra :(), i was instead able to compile a relative recent version (v9607 around Sept 2021) without this malloc replacement ...and here it is a...
Usually i open a terminal on the directory of the sources i want to build and type ./build_ase or whatever the script is called.
If you have an error building share this error and i could help.

I saw that you deleted the build file, because it wasn't updated with the current sources.
I'm ok but i think that offering another way to build the game is better...in special way for people (like me on my linux PC) that have problems...
for now i have not tested loading a map on the console of the game
I have tested with -v argument and here is the result:
next i built a debug version of bsp program and used GNU-Debugger...
test done with the new sample map that you uploaded to github some days ago.

I'd like to make a dbp package...but i need to know how to make it...but first i don't know how to fix the freeze of the game...so if someone more expert would made a look and release it for pyra...i'm ok.
When i installed libjpeg-turbo i got the same error, using that lib installed from debian repository (because it install an old version).
I donwloaded the most recent version, compiled and it build just fine the game.
Anyway you resolved using cmake...so it's ok (i added just in case will be...

On Pyra fps is on par with Linux PC (about 60fps) on Pandora i'm compiling....
