Latest update: Keymats are here, how strong will the logo plate be - and pretty cases.

I seem to recall ED saying he wouldn't be using the Suede coating for the Pyra, in which case I would expect that that page doesn't really apply. -Neelix

    Welcome to the updated site!

The "Home" link at the bottom comes up with a page not found error. Not that I care that much, I only noticed it because that's where the "top of page" link used to be, which I would use to get to the menu bar which is now always on screen anyway, but it's become a habit to click down there...

A video. Again. Mostly about cases.

It's also possible to use the US Int layout without deadkeys. That's what I do, so I always need to hit Alt-gr to get an accented character, but I don't use them enough for this to be a problem for me.

Except that most of the included software will be standard Debian. That actually gives you quite a lot to be going on with software-wise as long as you get the basic drivers in place, which is what is currently being worked on. Also, people do tend to understand the concept of additional and...

We need more drama. So here's another video.

Funny thing for me was that he didn't even have to say it for me to understand what he was referring to. From the moment he started casting about for the word I was already thinking "conveyor belt, conveyor belt, the English term is conveyor belt" as if that would somehow help him with...

Have you ever watched an unboxing video? First thing that gets commented on, without fail, no matter what device is being unboxed is the finish of the device, because it's the aspect of the device people encounter first. It is literally the first impression that anyone encountering the device...

A video. Again. Mostly about cases.

I feel the need to point out that a big part of the reason it looks cheap as the paint starts to scrape off is because the plastic underneath the silver paint is black. That's why ED has been making a point of saying that the paint would be the exact same colour as the plastic, that will make...

Even more to see here (now)

I agree with your point, though I disagree with your wording. Pyra is certainly expensive. There is however a difference between being expensive and being too expensive, and also a difference between expense and value for money. - Neelix

Amazing. Did you know the word gullible isn't in the dictionary?

A nice theory except that you wouldn't be able to paint under any of the support structures built into the case plastics, so a uniform colour would be impossible. If that floats your boat, that's great, but it wouldn't be a good solution for mass production. - Neelix

Being that you were being overly literal, I don't think it's the overly literal people you need to explain that to. ;) -Neelix

So to rephrase ible's question (which doesn't seem to have been answered yet) is changing colours from red to blue without flushing the machine something that could or would be done, and if so, would doing result in a limited number of cases being produced in various shades of purple?

    Pyra News: Springs are brilliant!

The question isn't taboo, it just doesn't have a firm answer. This is deliberate, so as not to risk promising something that then can't be delivered when promised. The Pyra will be released when it's ready and the mass production reaches a point where ED can start shipping units. When...

    Pyra News: Springs are brilliant!

That having been said, what I was discussing there was a single custom layout, and what you are suggesting is an infinitely customisable layout which may have considerably wider appeal. If it can be confirmed that a keymat with completely blank and translucent keytops could be topped with key...

That being said if you were going to ask them to compile for another arch anyway, you may as well ask them to go the whole hog and compile for armhf. ;) -Neelix

Thanks for the update azouls. Looking good. How does it feel to switch between the upper and lower buttons and is it comfortable to press both at once if need be? It's hard to get a sense for that from the images. -Neelix
