If you ordered from evildragon, but don't speak german. Post in this thread.

Ed posted this today on gp2x.de:

Next week will be with me the first batch of Pandoras, then it is also here back on.

How much I do not know yet, because Craig is still frantically flashing on (and I was preparing him four more flash SD cards so that the whole is faster).

Also, I've just received another 500 LCD cable for soldering.

Now, even 550 boards at Craig and the next 400 are also soon come ... now it 's really going fast, I think.

Heute geht laut Jaquelyne die erste Pandora-Sendung an mich raus.

Today, according to the first Pandora Jaquelyn's broadcast out of me.
Google? WTF?

I hope this means, the first shipment to ed is on it's way

The latest confirmed delivery (from ed, acording to gp2x.de) is invoice #2491

mine is #2509 and not yet delivered

Exciting isn't it. I'm hoping ED gets about 140 units. I think that would be enough to include my unit.

No, but since they prefer shipping them "in bulk" to reduce costs, I'm surprised it were only 40 units and not the roughly 140.

I really don't like it that we get the last 40 instead of the first 40 which would cause units bought in the UK and units bought in Germany to arrive somewhat simultaneously at the customers.

We are getting our units at least a week later now :(

It could be that 40 fits nicely in one shipment.
That's quite likely actually. Prices are usually weight/size based and 40 units is about 15 kg or so. Sounds like a likely weight range to show up on the pricing chart.

Well let me help you with that ;) (I'm sure I can do better than Google)

Heute geht laut Jaquelyne die erste Pandora-Sendung an mich raus.

According to Jaquelyne, the first shipment of pandoras will be on the way to me today.

More? Just post the german text - I'd love to translate for you.

Keeps me in shape ;)

I send my (broken) unit back in mid-december and send ED an e-mail 2 weeks and a bit ago to ask if it has arrived, but I didn't get an answer so I think I'll try it here: What's the state of those boards that need nub replacement? Have they already gone to texas? If not, when? I don't want to offend, but there have been no news on this I can remember since a month, so what's going on?

Am I right in that you are (partially) referring to the order number thread on the German forums?

In case anyone here is trying to extract Pandora shipping information from that thread, here are the translations of the data fields used in the posts:

  • "Bestellnummer:" - "order-number:"
  • "Versanddatum: TT.MM.JJJJ" - "shipping-date: DD.MM.YYYY" (notice it's "DD.MM.YYYY", not "MM.DD.YYYY")
  • "Zustelldatum: TT.MM.JJJJ" - "delivery-date: DD.MM.YYYY" (notice it's "DD.MM.YYYY", not "MM.DD.YYYY")
  • "Anzahl-Pandoras:" - "number-of-Pandoras:"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even though some people believe that sticking to a coherent way of reporting information isn't possible on a web forum used by many people, personally I believe it might be a good idea to stick to a coherent way anyway. :) The main idea behind this is that this way, the data can be automatically parsed. While this might not be necessary yet because the data pool is still pretty small right now, soon it will be a very helpful thing to have automatically created diagrams. They probably will help a lot in getting a better overview.

For anyone who also believes that this kind of uniformity might be a GOOD THING™ for the order data, please put the data into [ code ]-tags using the following data field names. Here is a template:

Code:
[code (add a "]" here)

order-number: 0000

<optional>shipping-date: DD.MM.YYYY</optional> (When using "shipping-date", "delivery-date" may be omitted)

delivery-date: DD.MM.YYYY

number-of-Pandoras: 0

[/code (add a "]" here)

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The result may look similar to one of the following:

Code:
order-number: 1234

delivery-date: 01.01.1970

number-of-Pandoras: 1

Code:
order-number: 1010

shipping-date: 01.01.1010

number-of-Pandoras: 1

Code:
order-number: 1010

shipping-date: 01.01.1010

delivery-date: 01.11.1010

number-of-Pandoras: 1

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you would like me to, I could translate the explanatory text within that order number thread. I'm currently creating a new revision of that text, so I don't currently advise anyone to publish a translation on her own. Basically, the text boils down to these things:

  • [Explanation of the order number disaster]
  • Make sure to not post contradictory or duplicate data (make one post which contains your order data; edit that post if the data changes / if you wish to add information).

------------------------------------------------------------------------

edit-11jan2011-2324GMT+1: Yannick, you may add any of this information to your post should you wish to do so.

Don't worry, to my knowledge so far Ed has ALWAYS answered to e-mails. Sometimes it may take some weeks until you get a reply though, depending on how busy he is. From what I've heard so far, in busy times an answer typically takes between two and four weeks, but this information might be totally unrepresentative.

It looks like the text was quoted from here: http://forum.gp2x.de/viewtopic.php?p=148082&hilit=Jaquelyne#p148082

Evil Dragon's shop is the one where Jacqueline responds, am I correct? Who responds to Craig's inquiries?

Actually is the other way around, Jacqueline handles Craig's shop and ED responds to his customers himself if I am not mistaken.

Btw, @OP: It generally helps when you post the sources of stuff you quote, so everyone can look it up for themselves ;)

Ah......... I see, thanks. It has been a while since I've posted anything, but I have read the boards almost everyday, except for weekends.

I have no idea what Jaquelyne does, but Ed definitely responds himself.

+1 for importance. :)

Each time I check that board on the German forums, I'm disappointed by the lack of updates. Soon though, soon...
