Hows Amiga On Pandora In Comparison To Gp2X?

Morning folks, now that the Pandora has landed and burrowed its way into your hearts like a digital spirochete I was wondering if any of you had philandered in the fields of the GP2X Wiz in regards to Amiga emulation and how these fillies frolic on the new hardware in comparison to the old?

Would it be worthwhile picking up an old GP2X just for some portable Supercars II (or maybe that new Caanoo?) action if it plays smooth enough or should I just splash out on the Pandora?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums

I haven't got a Wiz but on my gp2x F200 I found the Amiga emulator while good, kinda sucked without using a USB keyboard. The Pandora since it has one built-in its more suited to play Amiga games.

Haven't played the WIZ version much, but it can probably do fullspeed with FS 2 - 3, depending on the game.

Pandora runs most games fullspeed at 600MHz without Frameskip.

It runs most games close to or fullspeed on Pandora.

Now it does have some flaws, there is noticeable screen tearing even with v-sync, and the menu system is a mess (I had an idea to fix that but no coder has time for it).

I imagine it will be much bette in the future. It works but has some rough edges still.

Thanks folks - Look like I'll stick to Ami on my netbook for the mean time.

Or if I ever get some free time I'll see if I can take that MiniMig setup and shoehorn into some for of case for portable Amiga goodness...

If you notice screen tearing just press "Select" to enter the menu and press Select again to continue playing - now the scrolling will be 100% smooth and 50Hz-synched.

Yep, absolutely no screen tearing for me either.
Are you running PAL or NTSC games?
It's set to 50Hz, so it should run at PAL :)
