UPDATE!!!
I sodding knew it! It was my prime suspect.
OK... first things first, my Pandora is working fine... SD cards were swapped around, finger smudges on the screen and the battery was completely drained! It's charging now.

Right... As I was collecting my Pand, the officer that I spoke to came over and said "I thought that had been stolen" and obviously I'm like "It had... I got a call to come in and collect it!"
And then the lady spilled the beans, that it was the guy that I thought, that works at the pub and he said it had got in the wrong bag and he took it home by accident... which doesn't add up if you look at how my Pandora is right now... he's tried to get this working however he could think of... and THEN decided to hand it in to the police station trying to anonymously drop I guess... since if he hadn't stolen it, why could he not leave it at work for me...

Anyway, yes it's back, so I don't need the Pandora, the queue swapping and if you want me to refund your donations back, please let me know via PM.
I do want to say the biggest thank you to all of you for being so supportive! You guys really do rock rock rock!

At 3:08pm today I finished my break and put my Pandora in my bag... at 6PM when I had finished work I changed my shirt and noticed my bag was missing something I was very very fond. My Pandora.

I cannot describe how annoyed I am right now, but let me just say this...

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCK!"

Man is that thief going to be disappointed when he realizes he has no idea what he just stole.

Than again, maybe he knows exactly what he stole. Have you shown it off to anyone recently?

An object worth almost a months rent in a unlocked storage?
I feel for you, but it cant really be a huge shock that it's gone. People on the net, and through the phone can be the most honest people you will ever interact with, and that guy you work with who seams friendly enough, but keeps to him self, may very well have sticky fingers, without you having the slightest idea.
I wouldn't leave my wallet laying around, or a geek gizmo. (Well, actually, i do leave my wallet around, since i got the cash, and my drivers license in a pocket on my shorts, so there isn't anything in the wallet during the summer ;- )

Sucks that someone you apparently trust have let you down. Hope you find out who, and get it back.
B!

Man, that sucks. Is there anywhere it has a likelihood of turning up? :/

oh no :( Sorry Man, I hope you get it back somehow. Are there any security cameras where you work that maybe saw something?

Aw man, that sucks! And what's really fucked about about it is it's probably someone you thought you were on friendly terms with! Even worse, they'll still be all nice to you knowing full well that they stabbed you in the back. I really hope it's a short line of suspects and you get it back some how. I feel for ya man, I really do!!!

Oh god, this is horrible. D: And after all the work you did with PandoraPanic and your other projects too...

Any chance there were any security cameras in the area? You could always ask security to check the tapes, if where you work has that kind of system. The thief has to be someone who knows you, so if could could get camera footage it should be pretty easy to identify them. I really hope you get it back. No one deserves something like this :( .

hey, i wonder when will OPT will sell a spare/optional/2nd charg...

whoopsie!

naah, just kidding! ^_^

edit: hope you get it back soon.. i really hope.

Noooooooooooo, I feel the pain m8, I left mine in the chippy but I got it back thankgod. Hope you figure out who it was and deck him big time :(

It's a shame that there are so many toerags about that people feel that the answer is to stop yourself from using your own property in case they take it...

EDIT: What? Wasn't there a post before mine?

Sorry to hear about your stolen pandy.
Would be willing to chip in for a replacement if it doesn't show up...anyone else??
:)

Who are the suspects?

I'd start with anyone who showed a little too much interest in the theft.
Well the quiet new one that finished at 5PM and saw me playing it on my break the other day...

This is what annoys me he probably doesn't even know what it is, and it has my password on it, and I doubt he knows he can reflash it.

Hmmm Trouble is we have really crappy staff storage at our place, there ARE lockers, but fuck knows where the keys are.

I'm thinking doubtful... if he knows he's suspected it's likely to be dumped or sold or destroyed. And obviously he would deny anything.

We do have CCTV but mainly to protect stock and customers not staff areas.

Aw man, that really blows! Sorry to hear about that. :(

Is there any kind of security measure we could put on Pandora? Maybe some kind of tracker if they log on? (just found an open source one)
I have my password and the idiots stupidity, but the stupidity may get my Pandora further adrift or destroyed too.

Nah the suspect is the "weird one". Didn't say a word to me when I was in the staff room playing my Pand before my shift...

We do have a good idea of who it is... but need to prove it... such is the sodding justice system... My projects is exactly what's annoying me right now, I was really enjoying working with my Pandora, so much easier to dev with when you have actual hardware to test your code. I'll still continue but I'll be sending code to MarkoeZ to test for now, I guess...

Did you show it to anyone?

I'd be paranoid about things like this... never make yourself conspicuous if you have something others don't.
I didn't show it off, I just put it through usage in my daily routine, I bought it to use it. I've not used my ipod since getting it, listened to music while walking to work... and to pass time on my break. I talked to my boss about it many times over the course of the years I've waited for it, but yeah... never spoken to this new guy... he doesn't speak.

Yeah thanks man.

To everyone, thanks for your comments and support... I'm still annoyed and upset, but at least my lovely lady also understands me.

I learned my lesson when i was young, had a gameboy mono at school, showed it off,let my pals play it and it soon disapeared, but even grown ups have the desire to steal and my trust is very low of people in a general way,it's sad that we can't enjoy our possesions without fear they will be stolen or taken from us but this is the real bad world where you can't walk down the street or sit on a bus with your phone in your pocket without the threat of getting stabbed for your possesions,at least there are some good people in the world so lets stay possitive and hope he gets his pandora back ,it must be much more use to him for all the right reasons (dev) than it is to someone who prolly would only play snes on it and mabe only sell it,its a sad situation but i hope he gets his pandora back safe and sound.

I take it my first post was too harsh ? ok i admit it was a bit much, the poor guy must be gutted the now, hope you catch him PokeParadox.

No I got your point, didn't think it was too harsh, quite realist... but I sure as hell am going to use something I paid good money for. I've been mugged before(I was 16 or so), they stole my watch... would I stop wearing my watch because of that? hell no!
