Hey everybody, i don't think this fella is that far of. If the Pandora was 4 times as fast, had 4 times more memory, 8 times more graphic power, and.... And was a x86 unit, it could probably run WoW.
Question is. Didn't we all foresee these stupid questioning? Oh, right, we did. Already back in 2008 it was clearly stated that there will be NO World of Warcraft on the Panda. To the infinite number of Mikko's out there. Sorry, No WoW. Now scram.

it was a noob question yes i admit it, but think about if somebody with determination and alot of hard work pulled it off by making a few modifications but still kept it more portable than an ipad just imagine theres so many wow players and there so addicted that alot of ppl would want it, and with so many ppl asking the question that just proves my point that it would sell quite well, and with technology now days you would think it would be possible

Looking at that reply, you seem to think that these were rough responses. They are not. Believe me...

But wow is made for x86 (think intel) This is a completely different architecture, meaning that the creators of wow had to do the porting themselves. And they won't do it for such a small market. IF there was EVER a mobile implementation of WOW, the company that owns it would go talking to a Sony, Apple and the sorts, not OpenPandora (i think even the WORD open would make them flee to their lawyers ; )

Edit: To OP: and x86 is not the only thing preventing it to happen
To angry mob: YES i know x86 is not the only thing preventing it to happen;)

Think about it seriously: The only way it would ever happen, even in a limited form, would be commercial. At the moment there are ~4000 units. Even after the second batch, it's not even worth starting development for that amount of units. Maybe on the 25th batch it might be worth doing, but even then, the Pandora has no 3G, it relies on Wifi and I don't see many people playing Wow in there local McDonalds or public house (that would be REALLY sad).

Maybe for Apple, Nintendo or Sony devices. Maybe. Not Craigix Enterprises devices.

I play WoW and I say it is not possible, even with full sauce code wouldn't it be possible. First, Pandora Screen is to small, I use alot of Add ons and I wouldn't see anything but HUD if it runs onto a 800x480 screen.
Addons eat alot of Memory, and NO I don't want to play without my Add ons.
WoW needs around 18GB HDD space at the Moment, it needs alot of RAM and WoW does ALOT of caching stuff. So if you want to kill your SD quickly, play WoW on it. ;)
I'm not a coder but I BET, WoW also uses alot of Float point stuff and when I've leanred one thing about ARM processors, then ist is that they don't like FP. :D
