Psx For Pandora Compatibility List

i added "perfect" as a fourth status - i'm sure there will be a few games at some point in the future...
unfortunately not this one:

Title: Soul Blade
Region: NTSC
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 700
Comments: slow but playable, disable sound as it is a mess.

also joseluisjazz added a useful column on the end showing when the entry was last edited, so we can see when games have had their status updated due to a new version of the emulator.

Title: Command and Conquer: Red Alert - Retaliation
Region: PAL
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Works Well
CPU Speed: 750
Comments: Runs a bit slow with sound, but if played at Turbo speed (in the options), is about as fast as Normal mode on the PSX. Played a full skirmish and everything was perfect.

Title: Driver
Region: PAL
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 750
Comments: Sound is a bit choppy, but plays great at 750MHz. However, my Pandora crashes once the car gets wrecked, so something might need fixing there.

Title: Grand Theft Auto
Region: PAL
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Works Well
CPU Speed: 750
Comments: It actually runs a bit fast so could need some limiting. It's sluggish at 500MHz though, with or without sound.

Here is what I have run (All at 750MHz and NTSC US versions):

Crash Bandicoot 2 - bin - Works well, sound is decent
Megaman X4 - iso - Works well
Need for Speed 3 - iso - Playable, but slow, sound is bad
Wipeout XL - img - Playable, but slow, sound is bad
Odd World Exodus - iso - Playable, either has difficult controls or I'm just not good at that game
Resident Evil - bin - Playable, sound is choppy
Star Wars - Episode I - img.ecm - Jedi Power Battle - Does not load
Star Wars - Episode I - img.ecm -Phantom Menace - Does not load
Tomb Raider II - img - Loads the menus, but not the game

I don't know why you've ECM'ed some of your rips, emil, but I'm pretty sure that psx4pandora doesn't support decompressing that format.

Well, I didn't ECM any rips. But that would explain why those games don't load.

I guess that I'm going to have to learn to rip these things myself if I want to have a reliable image. Hope that I eventually get some free time...

Title: Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2
Region: NTSC
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 750
Comments: The whole game plays a little bit too fast after running the background killer. Audio is ballsed up and textures in game are all funky. It's playable but not enjoyable until the textures are fixed.

How come Gran Turismo 2 is green (ie playable but slow/sound issues) however the description says it is "Perfect".

Just wanted to point that out.I
Is it really "Perfect" and need to change colour to Blue
Or is it "Playable" and the description needs to be changed accordingly.

Sorry it's just I'm quite disappointed since their were many posts saying psx emulator can achieve full speed emulation with sound (and some even said without O'C or even on the most demanding games), and I was looking forward to flawless Gran Turismo, Tekken 3, Metal Gear, Crash Bandicoot (which are one of the most demanding games) as given that idea.

PS, maybe its my fault perhaps they were talking of another psx emulator, were they?
This is zodTT's emulator/port right?

This is an early build - I don't think you can expect flawlessness immediately, with anything. ;)

And yes, this is Zod's emulator. :p

Title: Tomb Raider
Region: NTSC
Format: img
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Not Working
CPU Speed: 800
Comments: Menus load, but not the game.

Title: Tomb Raider III
Region: NTSC
Format: img
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 800
Comments: Runs very slow and doesn't look that nice. Difficult to control. I didn't try it with the sound on.

Title: Tomb Raider Chronicles
Region: NTSC
Format: img
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 500
Comments: Pretty slow at 500, runs, but not really playable. Might be better at a faster speed, probably similar to Tomb Raider III.

Title: Tomb Raider The Last Revalation
Region: NTSC
Format: img
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Not Working
CPU Speed: 800
Comments: Menus load, but not the game.

Title: Silent Hill
Region: NTSC
Format: bin
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Not Working
CPU Speed: 800
Comments: Gets into the game, then doesn't allow you to move.

Title: Star Wars - Jedi Power Battles
Region: NTSC
Format: img
Emulator Version: First Beta (fixed)
Status: Playable
CPU Speed: 800
Comments: Runs very slow. Difficult to control, you can't attack and change direction at the same time. You also move pretty slowly.

FF8 screen blacks out on the world map, although you can see it fading away when activating the menu.

FMV's seem to have pretty bad sound most the time.

Be nice if PSX4ALL could remember the last used folder (think this has been asked for since the gp2x days)

Ive had crashes when navigating in the file browser to find my bin's

Raiden Fighters - Too slow at 500, pretty solid at 750+. Garbled crap on right side of screen (doesn't affect gameplay) and sound is a little off.

Just wondering

can we expect some sort of wrapper, as in
psx games are displayed with their own individual icons, in the minimenu

im half oppose and half in favour of this, (means good icons need to be made)

thanks
