Since we got extra delays caused by the WiFi issue, why don't we print it on the remaining cases?
I clearly missed the post talking about wifi causing a delay among all the posts talking about how the wifi will not cause a delay because they're shipping anyway.

We won't ship the 3000 until we have it working faster.

There's 4000. 1000 are getting shipped, at least.

edit: oh! now I've actually read the title of the post, everything makes sense. I withdraw my comment.

Why don't we just skip it entirely? Do you really need a little logo painted on it to know what a volume wheel or an SD slot are?
Well you dont want to try to turn up the SD slot or insert a card in the the volume do you?

True story: I actually flipped the power switch trying to adjust the volume when playing with Skeezix's Pandora. The only thing that saved me is that he'd broken the switch taking it apart and reassembling it.

I don't need silkscreening, however I would like one sticker to say "evil inside" and another saying "designed for Ångström Linux"

I understand this might be very late, but what about one of those two solutions?
1. Engraving the case itself with the logo <-- do we need 10 revisions to be sure it wont break anything?
OR (and more practical and wont affect anything)
2. Stickers! They can be sent with the Pandora itself or by normal post. I know it can peel, so why don't each unit come with two stickers?
+ No need for the assembly team to stick them on the case, buyers will do it.

The "First Batch" label was mentioned earlier.

Just think. Instead of something saying "first batch" you have a first batch pandora that doesn't say anything! That shows it is very much first batch.

i would agree to the second, it would go more MAC like! giving out apples! XD
but i think that option was posted a long time ago and no one seemed to respond.

sure, then i buy a second batcher and wipe off all silkscreen, pretty much the same, (there are tons of additives to do this painless for the case)
we're looking for something unique instead of something easily replicable.

unless you can sell it as a collectors item, i doubt you can say the same case (not that case) applies here.

It saddens me how often the same conversation is had over and over. Not just this one, where it's seemingly obvious that a little wear and tear will wear off simple silk screening, but other ones too.

1. Problem!
2. Retort
3. No - doesn't fix Problem!

Is there really THAT much of an influx of new bodies that these conversations haven't already been seen to death by everyone?

Sad you can't stay the fuck out of them.

Yeah - if you have nothing intelligent or worthwhile to say just throw "fuck" and "shit" around to prove you're a big man. That'll work. So much better than just repeating the same old... no, wait...

LOL yeah - but now every time I see THAT pattern I'm going to imagine Mick Dundee pulling a Pandora from behind his back saying "That's not a handheld... this is a handheld!"

Even some of those of us who don't mind what we get either way (I'm happy either way :p ) can fully understand why silkscreening is actually a good idea. ;) (Read this for a really good example of why a two-or-three-word note on the casing can be useful. If you've seen the silkscreening sample that was done with the wrong file, you should hopefully get exactly what I mean.)

WAIT!

OTG supports 2.0 too?? now im confused, i thought the OTG port only supported 1.1

i'm pretty certain it does. but don't get excited yet. 2.0!=hi speed. afaik it is a usb 2.0 full speed port - so it is as slow as 1.1.
