Here it is, folks: close to two-plus years of blood and sweat! The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not based off a F200 model! This was a project I commissioned a friend to do for me, and it's nearly complete! Check it out!

Are you worried about the unit failing from using a Lithium battery (3.6v)?
Does the light bar light up?
Is the front of the unit curved? The top pic makes the face look flat, but the one with the bubble looking thing on the screen makes it look like the face is curved.
Is there anything protecting the paint?
In any event, it looks great.

Would you be posting the walkthrough of how it was all done? Or is it a trade secret.

Battery: Battery has been tested pretty extensively, and lasts between 7-8 hours on a single charge and, while there is no dedicated battery access panel, it's not difficult to get to, nor is it hard to replace.
Light bar: It will light up, yes (the LEDs still need to be wired up).
Front curved: Don't know, haven't received it yet (I'm in Kansas, my friend that's doing that is in Iowa).
Paint protection: Yes.
Looks great: Absolutely!

I think theres a build log somewhere on benheck's site, or maybe there is but they didn't post into it? :)

Gorgeous; sort of freaky.. Imean a built in 4-port hub; that can't be all that useful in practice, but is akin to sticking all sorts of cooling fans on the top of a honda civic .. all balls and awesome :)

It's so good that it isn't even impressive. It just looks like you bought it at the store. When something is done so well that it just looks stock, that's when you know you are a good hacker. If I tried something like that it would look like 3 11 yo girls worked on it:)

Did you just read my mind?

If I tried modding mine, it would be made of plastic cut with a kitchen knife and held together by tape!

Amazing stuff! I would be really tempted to only add a new battery if it is not too hard. Are there pics available with a description how this is done?

Not only will the build-through be good to know on how this awesome console is made but an option to purchase already moulded case parts, battery packs, etc. A few interested people may take up this offer to save time on the upgrade.

Check out the Build Log. However I don't quite remember if the battery is mentioned there.

Edit:
Added link in my post

Nothing of the electromechanical stuff is showed as far as I could see. An easy battery mod would be great.
