All Refunds Not Sent Yet

I've heard a lot of "the 'final' pandoras will be ready very soon", so I doubt we'll be waiting too much longer.

Just got my refund email... It came right after read this thread about the all clear. Thought I made it through. I suppose it's nicer to get an email, because then you don't have to worry about whether or nor you're getting a refund, making sure the spam filter didn't eat it, etc. I'm now spared a good bit of worrying.

Same here. I assume my actual refund will appear soon...?

Just to make sure, because I'm getting nervous with people yapping on about currency conversion and money lost in the conversion. When I made my bank transfer for my reorder I simply tallied the money my credit card statement told me I was refunded (one for tv cable, one for the Pandora itself) and transferred that to Craig and co.

Was this the correct thing to do? o_O

That's what I would have done, if I was affected. If it isn't correct, they will send a mail I suppose. Did you put you order-number as reference in the transfer?

Yep, I did. So it should be fine, I suppose. The email could've specified exactly how much to transfer though, come to think of it.

I too got a refund email today...
Hopefully this will all be worth it.
my favorite part of the email:
"We plan to start shipping in December with the 256MB upgrade."

I got my refund email a few days ago too and I was wondering has your credit card company reported the refund yet?

I received my e-mail on Nov 25 (5 days ago) and still no refund. I wouldn't worry yet.. gonna give it a few more days before bugging anyone.

Got the email two days ago and am just waiting to see the refund.

I have not received the refund email either .. I checked my spam folders and greylist logs, but did not see anything that indicated a refund email was attempted delivery.

I am in NC, US. I ordered on 1 Oct, using a virtual card from citibank -- if that makes any difference.

Due to the fees and exchange rates, I would probably not re-order, since every time I order using an international currency, I get dinged with a 5% exchange rate fee.

...Craig mentioned a % additional charge, we need to know this also...
+1
Chip: Please clear, if "% additional charge" must be added to new card payment.
Yes. We've lost a lot of money with this whole banking fiasco. While they're refunding your money, they are not refunding the processing fees that we've already paid. With everything else going on, we can not afford to cover the 1.5-2% fee like we did last time. It sucks, but it's only an extra $5 or so for each of you.

I wonder why the f...ing bank is not refunding the processing fees since they are the ones who had paranoia issues with the money deposited so rapidly in the for Pandora bank account? That's so unfair to Craig. :(

Thanks for the extra info on this though Chip. :)

About me receiving a refund w/o the email........
I got a confirmation after emailing openpandorasales, Jacquelyn responded very quickly and apologized. She provided me with a copy of the email, changed the email address associated with my order and corresponded to an additional question I had. I hope everyone else who is indicated a refund goes as smoothly as mine did. I am optimistic this is the final hurdle as a customer and if not who had that social experiment theory a month or so ago LOL

I can't wait to say I got a Pandora in my pants!

No email or refund on my side yet. I live in OH, USA. I didn't get anything in spam either so hopefully I am safe. One thing I am confused on though, I thought the case prototypes were finished ages ago which is why we saw the renders made with how the pandora will look. If all dimensions were set etc. already, why would several prototype cases need to be made before final production?

AFAIK, the keypad was never part of the prototypes until now.

I'm living in Pennsylvania, and haven't received a refund email. Hopefully I'm in the clear.

Thanks Chip.

To all other information seekers like myself who are curious about breakdowns of who got refunds and who didn't, or reasons as to why some cards got refunded and others not, I'm going to post preemptively and say we're likely to never get this information, most likely because the old bank are still likely to wield some legal control over this information and Craig likely isn't going to be able to say all the nasty things he'd like to about the bank. Unlike other engineering information involving chips and solder, the bankers are people in suits and ties.. people to be avoided at all costs. ;)

Chip/Craig can feel free to contradict me on this. :)

I appear to have avoided a refund email/credit, but I am in North America, I ordered *really* late and it could be a while before it shows up.
If i recall craigix said he would post some details on the bank fiasco. That was a week ago now. If he does it would make sense to do it with it behind us all.

anyhoo, bankers rhymes with w...ers
