I have on several occasions tried to cancel my order and get a refund on my CC. I have not received a reply from the vendors. Is there a specific way of canceling an order of the Pandora console? I ordered in North America. I do not want to deal with any hatred or speculation of any kind. I just want a straight answer.
Thanx in advance.

I'm sure someone will pipe up with the official answer. but I think you're meant to reply to your confirmation email.

The current issue with craigix's bank will probably slow down his response time. :-(

The quickest way would be to call 0191 243 2253(with whatever international dialling you'd need since you're in the states).

surely there is medication for this type of behavior?

Seriously, they are dealing with a lot of emails and stuff so the response might not be quick. If you need speed call them. (intnl code +44)

Dude, if you are seriously considering cancelling the order - I'm willing to take it over for you :)

Don't know if that'd work for Craig(ix) and Co (after all, even if I pay you the purchase price and all - your credit card is still the one attached to their records). But I'm serious in desiring a second unit (even with all the issues going on right now). My wife would love it (once I show her Secret of Mana emulated on her handheld!).

They said that most, if not all, cc orders to gbax were being cancelled and the purchasers would get an email if that happened with details explaining how to renew their order if they chose to, the eta to completion of the emails was 1 week, so odds are good your order may cancel without your intervention.

These misquotes will just lead to more misguided fear.

Everything has been resolved. I truly wish I could have been part of the first batch owners, as I have been following the project from the beginning. But it seems the economy finally reached my company and my pockets. Hopefully everything will be resolved in time for the ordering of the second batch. For the owners of the first batch, I truly envy you guys. Have fun you guys. I guess I'll have to sit on the sidelines and watch the progress this new gadget makes. :)

OK. It has been around THREE WEEKS since I recieved a confirmation of cancellation but no money has been returned to my account. What the Fuck is going on? I don't have internet access at this time and I can only get online when I come across a wifi spot. This is turning into some bullshit. Who do I gotta sue to get some action around here?

Reply to your preorder confirmation email.
And then maybe contact the store you bought from via telephone a day or so latter to confirm its all gone through.
Bare in mind they seem to be switching banks so there could be some kind of delay though.

Who do you have to sue? the bank.
If i were you, I would call the # mentioned earlier and find out the name of the bank so you could threaten legal action against them. I'm sure it would be fruitless, but it might help speed the process up. Their behavior is just this side of criminal...

Ish has had no direct dealings with the devs' bank. If there was anybody to sue then it would be the company he pre-ordered from. That company would then need to couter-sue their bank.

Anyway I don't really see how anybody could sue anybody rigt now, considering the end of November hasn't been reached, so no prospective delivery date has passed. Despite refunds which have since been promised. For until November 30th (at the earliest) you're in exactly the same suituation you would have been before the bank mess: No Pandora and no money!

Not that I'm condoning the way the situation has been handled by the devs, but we're wayyy off the suing anybody mark!

I got that same same email, followed by an email saying they checked with the bank and the bank said the refund had gone through. Yet I still have not been refunded. It has been a month since I canceled my order. The bank where I do my banking has been bought out by another bank and will change its name. I need this issue resolved before this takes place. I'm tempted to telling the bank that the deal with Openpandora was a fraud and that their business is running fraudulent scams. Dealing with this company has become a real nightmare for me.

I do wonder if a lot of people are confused by their banks backdating the refunds by a few months. I know that some refunds showed up as far back as a day or two after the original order. Also I know that my online banking is a bit weird with credit cards in that the statements it shows are the last months statements i.e. the same as the posted one and not exactly what my actual current balance actually is.

It might be worth checking that out. If you have an email from Open Pandora saying the bank confirmed it but you cant see it then why not ring the bank and find out why you cant see it? I am pretty sure that if you accuse the Open Pandora dealings as being fraudulent to your bank and the money is actually sat there, that you will seem pretty silly and also if this were to go to court, I am fairly certain that Open Pandora would not be liable for any offence and instead it would just be a waste of time and money for everyone concerned.

also, taken from the sticky thread edit by Chip:

QUOTE
Update - Dec 7
Just got another message from Craig. As has become obvious, the refunds have not all been processed yet. They have been processed on our end, and the bank had told us that everything was done a week ago when this topic was first started, but clearly this was not the case. They now admit that they have yet to process a good chunk of the US refunds. We're told they "should be done this week", but we've heard that before. Further details will be posted when I get them.

You might be one of the unlucky. Hang in there and keep the lawyer on hold for now

No details have been lost, The banks are being lazy but judging by that rest assure it is on their "to do" list so WILL get done.

chill out.
