the NG games I put in were strictly in compliance with the b06 compatability list.
All Neo Geo emulators need some sort of Neo Geo bios AFAIK.

CPS2 - Changed memory management - all games are playable without needing cache archive

It already played all CPS2 games that are compatible without cache files
Does it mean it now plays all CPS2 games ?

Beta 7.1 is here: http://www.gp32spain.com/foros/downloads.p...ile&id=1820

Changelog:
- Fixed speed of some games. In beta 7 all games have a fixed speed of 60 fps
- Fixed sound in Saturday Night Slam Masters
- Diagonals are now properly handled
- Fixed upside-down screen in some games (Explosive breaker, Miss World '96, ...)

Could we get that mirrored somwhere that doesn't require Spanish-speaking as a prerequisite for DL? %^) Thanks.

Just loaded the beta up today and I'm very impressed!

CPS2 emulation seems pretty much the same as CPS2EMU, although I've noticed that the sound isn't quite as good on some games (with a little crackling and skipping here and there) but the fact that it doesn't require cache files is a big plus point.

Also, it supports USB pads which is fantastic (although we really need the option to assign buttons as it's near impossible to play Street Fighter with the default setup on the USB pad I own!)

This is fast becoming one of my fave emus!

One question - why are games like Golden Axe shown in the preview pack when they don't function properly in the actual emulator? I thought Sega system-16 stuff was still way off?

Q about the "60 FPS" update in b71 - does this mean that games are forced to this ratio, even if the emu can't actually emulate them at that speed?

I had asked earlier about frameskipping, because some games, specifically Biomechanical Toy and Batsugun Rider, both very graphic-intensive games, looked like they were dropping frames all over the place.

They do seem to play a little smoother now with b71, but still not as smooth as other games.

I'm not complaining, just trying to figure out what the emu is doing. My preference is always smoothness of gameplay over actual game speed, so I usually turn frameskipping off or at most set it to 1.

Most emus have a frameskip setting that can be controlled by the user. So I'm not exactly sure what "60 FPS" universally applied actually means, as it was reported in the b71 release notes above.

All in all, though, excellent emu than I play more than any other. I LOVE that I can play the SF2 hacks!
"sf2koryu.zip" FTW!!!!!

truxton 2 stopped working for me in the latest versions
Relaunch the game again, sometimes the emulator fails loading games.

I can confirm Truxton 2 is working with the new version.

Being delighted to see Fba2x being able to play all the cps2 titles without gfx dumps ; I wondered that if it can be possible in the future that it also plays NeoGeo games without cache files ?

fba2x doesn't play big neogeo rom. Gngeo don't use all the 64Mo of RAM but i think if it use all this memory, juste some roms don't have to use gfx but the big one always need them

Does anyone else experience major graphical corruption when playing Guwange?
Yes. Everyone one has this issue. It's not a rom issue but a game driver issue. I'm not even sure how the PC version of FBA runs this.

hey, is anyone updating the compatibility list for v7.1 ?
I've been playing several cps2 games that are listed as not working...

An updated list would be excellent. :)
