Here you have a new version of my Master System and Game Gear emulator.

It has the following changes:
  • Fixed problem with FM sound. It should work now with european ROMs that didn't work before (Out Run, R-Type, California Games...). Thanks to Steve Cain (shiffy) and Bob Forgan for reporting it.
  • Added support to Tweak RAM Timmings. By default it's disabled, if you want to enable it just delete file "notweak" (and do the opposite to disable it again).
  • Added support to alternate control to CLICK button so you can use buttons combinations in new F200 and modded F100. Thanks to Ryo for his prior hack.
  • Modified main volume to a 50% if it detects that it's running in a F200.
  • Deleted battery level and LED if it detects that it's running in a F200.
  • Other minor changes.
You can download it here.

It's supposed that it supports that... anyway you can save the game using save function on emulator...

Sorry for the necromancy caused , but I see it is more common to post emulator problems in the latest release thread and not start a new thread in help section , here we go
*kills skeleton warriors with a fireball*

I am not sure if a common issue or not , but whenever I play a gamegear game in full screen setting , there are garbage graphics around the screen which I am actually playing the game , which is smaller than full screen. Especially noticeable and annoying in sonic games which are usually "fast" (or just because I play them a lot)

Any help/info greatly appreciated

That is normal, think that in a real Game Gear that "extra screen" isn't visible, so many coders didn't take care to show any useful there in their games.

I have been playing a lot of sms/gg games lately and have noticed (in fact noticed that earlier but didnt think it was much of an issue since I played 1 or 2 games a day) something that has been bothering me . especially while heavily using alexkidd2x.

When you choose a om and click b , in order to advance to the screen where you adjust region / clock speed settings etc, it is set to unscaled screen for gg games and region is usa ,etc. While it properly remembers settings you set o a game when you set and run first time, since I pretty much have all sms/gg games released on my sd card , it is a bit troublesome to set each rom"s settings to 133mhz,fullscreen gg,japanese>ntsc . Is there a way to alter the default setting which is applied to all roms including roms never played until now , if not I would like to kindly suggest such new feature.

Also since lots of games have both sms and gg versions , it is sometimes hard to undestand which is which , when I look at roms list it sometimes looks as if one rom listed twice , in fact nothing strange since one is gg one is sms. Would it be possible for emu to make it easier to understand them (not sure if possible since my roms are all zipped) in some way ?

Finally , the emu sometimes locks up with a black screen when you press select to run a game , which normally run good , seems pretty random . An issue I was also expeiencing on the previous version.

Pretty much everything to detail I experienced with one of my favourite emulators on :gp2x
Thanks very much to Puck2099 for this great emulator and hoping to see future versions :)
