Cps2 Emulator

Very cool

anyone have any luck with mshvsf.zip? I know mvsc.zip is mentioned as not working, does that mean mshvsf wont work?

Alpha 2 is great, but I'm in this for the VS games

Thanks for the great work!

EDIT: Got it! Use mshvsfu1.zip, it will load for about 10 seconds and then start playing. Now I just need those two other buttons....

Do we still don't know who is porting this? Zii is it you?
I prefer having this with no graphics glitches with no sound over having it with sound and with one graphics glitch (runs in fear of flaming over similar comment when talking about mega cd emulation) come on it is a personal opinion, live with it, I play most of my games while sound is either muted or on lowest degree :p

Ah, that could help people who can't run it then. Might crash due to too high an overclock on some units.

Actually mvsc does work!
You need both mvsc.zip and mvscu.zip in the roms folder

Wow, it works! :) Not every Game but SF Alpha is Playable, good with 250MHz. And you can use the build in Selector in GMenu2X with the larger game-.gpe so you don't need the extra .gpe for overclocking the emu.

But I couldn't get "Super Puzzle Fighter 2" to work. :( (The only reason why I need an CPS2 Emu besides Marvel vs. Capcom ^^ ) It kicks me back to the Gmenu after the Copyright-Text.
Have someone got this Game to work?

Besides: Only 4 Action-Buttons supportet now, right? (CPS has 6 )

Games I have working so far, all very fast at 250 MHz (almost too fast! ;) ), a little red but that's ok:

1944
armwar
avsp
batcir
ddsom
ddtod
pzloop2j
sfa

Has anyone seen 19xx, Gigawing or Mars Matrix working yet?

Excellent release, thanks very much! Looking very good so far :D

megaman2 works also, a little slow but very playable :)

Who made this? Is it the one Zottd was doing?

Oh wait, it says no sound :( Didn't the PSP one have sound?

The PSP one is by 'Nj' if memory serves; he's a Japanese lad who did a number of very good emus .. CPS1, CPS2, Neo Geo, and some others; they're all very good I"m told, with audio and all the options. (scaling, AA, etc.)

(I'm told, since I tend to use my 2x for emulation, and the PSP for PSP and PSX gaming.)

(Sorry I've been not so talkative for months.. since about when we found out the kid was coming.. now only 5-6 weeks away :p Since I'm posting, I'll stil say I've got a few things 'on the go' just not a lot of time as been building the baby room etc etc, but I definately intend on getting osme of that stuff out .. hopefully soon. I have also been trying to think of a game with a 'theft' gameplay .. like a rat stealing food or something. Trying to think up ideas :) Anyway, so there.)

Cool to see this ported; theres a few good PSP emus that really need to get ported over, and this was one :)

Improved sound emulation in OutcaST would be nice. Might be easier than starting something from scratch.

Well I've been using the psp version for quite a while now. This version (for a first version) is amazing. It's exactly how the cps2 version was for the first time on psp. Just to let you guys know if you unzip the cache files into a folder for each game, the game will run a hell of a lot better. I was playing Marvle VS Capcom on the psp and it was very jerky like gngeo gets sometimes. When I unzipped the cache files for M VS C it ran 100%. This is going to be nice when it gets optimized. I have faith with this version being just as good if not better than the psp version. It would be nice not to have these lovely games smear across my psp screen. =D

What do you mean by "Just to let you guys know if you unzip the cache files into a folder for each game, the game will run a hell of a lot better"?
