since i've checked the board and found no reference to WS2X, it's time for a new topic.

i was lurking on gp32spain.com forum (not very efficiently since i'm unable to read spanish :( ) when i found this topic:

http://www.gp32spain.com/foros/showthread.php?t=35636

it seems that Puck2009 and Misato are working on a new wonderswan emulator called WS2X

a video canbe found here:

http://www.misatowb.com/

has this been discussed before ?

Wow. The first Wonderswan Emulator where you don't need to turn off the sound :) Cool :)

Now, if there only was an english translation for Makaitoushi Saga...

Saludos!

OK, for you all to see that the project of the emulator wasn't just left on paper, and not just words, on my website there is is a proof of concept video. After the exams are finished a beta should come out (or that will wait(?))

You can see it here. One more time, thank Fosfy45.
Cheers!

ARGGGH. When is this coming OUT!?!?!?

Puck told me that they'd be finishing it around the 15th! Argh, I've been waiting for months for a Wonderswan emulator.

My bad spanish is showing

original: o eso espero
literal [implied]: or that['s what] I wait [for]
translation: or so I hope

Anyway, the latest update:

Esto sigue adelante, el problema es que ahora mismo tengo curro por la tarde/noche y clase por la mañana por tanto no puedo picar ni una línea de código del emulador. Sólo queda una chorrada del selector de roms, porque por lo demás está listo para salir del horno xDDD
Lo que sacaríamos sería una beta, ya que hemos descubierto algunos bugs.

This is still going on, the problem is that right now I have work on the evening/night and classes in the morning, so I can't write a line of emulator code. The only thing missing is a small thing on roms selector, and the rest is ready for release. The release version would be a beta, because we've found some bugs.

on gp32spain forum there are talking of the very good compatibility of this emulator (95% of total wondersam games) and the very good speed.

The problem, for me, is the wondersam have only japanes games an a very small of them have been translated to english :(

100% translation patches?? cool!

EDIT : uncool, the patches are not finished, except for RPGone's, but the site is down. :(

aye, this page has the translations available to the wonderswan
http://www.romhacking.net/
it also has it for other systems too, just go to the translation page and search it out.

i was quite active in the emulation scene for awhile, so i know some rather nifty things about it.

The emu release will be in a days or maybe hours.
Fosfy says that the emu is really great :) Good sound and fullspeed even at 200mhz in many games ^_^
I hope to enjoy it soon.

I got a wonderswan and for non Japanes speaking people I can recommend Final Lap 2000, Mr. Drille (awesome, much better than the GBC version), One Piece Swan Colosseum, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and of course Puzzle Bobble (although the Neo Geo Originals are better)

You're wrong, they're working on a Cps1-Cps2-OtherSystem emulator, I don't know the name of the third system but I know some games wich run on it (Esp R.A.D.E., Do Donpachi, and some more).
