Can anyone confirm this works with FW2.0?

All I seem to get is:

BBC Micro Computer 32K

Language?

And then the only thing I can do is press START to get back to the GP2x menu.

You must be missing the BBC B acorn basic rom! (or its in the wrong form or the wrong place on your SD card)

I know nothing about this emulator and I don't even own a GP2X - but I used to own a BBC model B and I once forgot to plug the ROM board back in.

What you've just described is EXACTLY what happens on a real BBC B if it can't find it's basic chip.

Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can find a different basic.rom to try.

I've been dying to play classics like Chuckie Egg for ages!

EDIT: Finally got it working.. it's got potential but unfortunately it's not fast enough to be all that enjoyable as it stands.

Have you overclocked the emulator with a script? It comes much closer to being playable...

I'd love to see some more work done on this - the author was going to send me the source, but I haven't heard anything since...

I think I had it running at 233mHz, it felt kinda silly having to overclock to emulate a BBC :p

I'd love to see more work done too (especially sound) as this was the first computer I ever owned and the nostalgia value is immense.

You could play a full speed version of Chuckie Egg on the C64 vice emulator..................
