Dynarec Completed For Psx4all Project.

the poor Zodttd isn't going to take some rest until he have a stable, clean dynarec to optimize
Relax, Zod, you have done (very) well for now!

I have sent my set of tests to Mr.zodttd, things are looking better than in the previous dynarec revisions that I was sent, but more work needs to be done, there are a couple of compatibility issues and some speed issues that need sorting out too... No specific stats will be released at the present moment.

So, people, be patient :), this is going to take some time still lol.

so frustrating, waiting for something, and not being able to help :( but if you're looking for beta testers....

If you can dynarec a PS MIPS3000, then a GBA's ARM or most any other CPU is fair game.

The GP2X's future never looked brighter.

Actually it would be much faster and more smart if you just did native execution.... Both are ARM.

... and a static recompiler (for GBA) is in progress. it should be faster (than dynamic recompiling) because the GBA-Roms are smal enough. native execution is the best solution ever, but in the GBA are a lot chips to emulate and not the arm only.

OK, possibly the wrong place to post this but...

I got my GP2X today (yayness!) and I've tried to get resident evil 1 (Directors Cut) working in psx4all (public 2). From X-Codes testing, it should work fine, but on my GP2X it just sais: Loading Game... Loading Complete... And then sits on a black screen forever. Is this the way I've compressed the image so that it will fit on my 512mb memory card? If that is so, anyone got any tips on what settings I should use for compression, or not at all?

Thanks in advance,

newbe5

You guys should write your own mini-series, I have never seen so many cliff hangers in a thread before.... the suspense is killin me... it's like naruto all over...

Resident Evil 1 works just fine... either your image is corrupted, or you miss the psx BIOS, or simply the Director's Cut version isn't compatible

I used CDRWIN to build BIN/CUE images, then PocketISO to rip it, and it worked almost perfect :)

*edit*
BTW, here are the games I can test

these works fine (PSX4GP2X Beta 2)

Final Fantasy 7
Vagrant Story
Resident Evil
Medal of Honor - Resistance
Soul Reaver
Silent Hill
Crash Bandicoot 3
(usually crash at level load, but I remember well playing a level on the GP2X... so, don't know ;) )

these works but are buggy

Oddworld Abe's Odyssey
Oddworld Abe's Exodus
R-Type Delta

these doesn't work (or works for some time then crash)

Metal Gear Solid
Wipeout 3
Gran Turismo
Syphon Filter 2

I haven't tested Final Fantasy 9, since it is reported, not to work, but I will rip it when... well, nobody knows when :(

Of course I will test them as soon as the new beta gets released :p as other games I might get until there

BTW, I also wrote this to keep your attention :D

When you ripped it did you pull out the audio and the video? it just black screens for me, but I don't doubt it's me doing something wrong :p I'll keep trying though :D Absolutely can't wait until I can play LAPD Future Cop on my GP2X :D

when I rip a game, i rip video and music, but I don't do anymore since I set up samba, which is the best way of testing many ISO's ;)
