Mario Kart With Os9xgp 0.3 Beta

I know there have been loads of topics about this in the board, but searching brings up loads of contradictory posts.

I can open and run Mario Kart using OS9xgp 0.3 beta (the latest version?), running at 140mHz. It isn't full speed, but is playable. I run it at about FS 2, no sound.

However, although I can drive around, there are some consistant glitches:

"Hot spots" on the ground like coins on the track and power-up points don't work - I just drive straight over them with no effect.

At random points around the track (well, usually just after bends) my Kart stops and is moved onto the centre of the track as if I had fallen off the edge.

Are these noramal, or is it possible to play Mario Kart properly? Searching on the forums brought up lots of post about why Mario Kart can never work because the cart had a special chip built in to it (Mode 7?), but it also brings up loads of posts from people who claim it runs perfectly for them.

Any advice / tips you may have would be appreciated.

Have fun,
Melville

a dodgy rom?

I was playing mario kart a bit ago on 0.3 with no faults...

D'oh...

You're right, googled and got another copy - it was the ROM.

*hangs head in shame*

Thanks,
Melville

EDIT:
The fact that this works means now I DEFINATELY need to get the overclock mod done.

OMG he said he was running OS9xgp 0.3 beta, if that's not a proper emulator what is?

I don't know about you other people but I feel little bit sorry for Lina_Inverse...
Little stupid and noobisch . :p

and yeah probobly bad dump, I had the same problem a year ago.

Lina, why would you even post that? Are you sure your on the right forum, hardly anything you post has anything to do with the GP32.

Im fairly certain they were saying a proper emulator as in a highly developed PC running emu. One that easily accomplishes full speed with sound so there is no chance of a fault in anything but the rom.
