Video Game Appraising

With the other thread about that huge lot on EBAY it got me thinking about how much my collection might be worth. Does anybody know of any place to maybe do online to get an appraisal? I tried to Google it and the closest I got was arcade appraisal for a hefty fee.

just work it out yourself, by watching ebay auctions of similar items you can get the 'final selling price' and use that as your estimate for it.

I can do that for most of my systems, but not for my Atari 2600 collection. I have TONS of stuff, i have 5 systems total, 3 four switch wood grains, 1 6 switch wood grain, and 1 jr. plus i have about 250 individual games, around 350 if you add my duplicates with tons of controllers and other crap. I've never seen an atari 2600 collection of my size on ebay to compare.

now that i think about it, I don't know, just seems to magically amassed? LOL, but seriously, hitting a bunch of garage sales and flea markets for the last 10 years.

I would say try to estimate it. Pick one of your games that you feel would be the most valuable, look up its price, then find the one you'd expect to see the worst price with. Then just sort of guess for each game by play value between those 2 prices you looked up. It may not be the most accurate way but it is free and shouldnt take an extremely large amount of time. Although I guess which game is best is a matter of opinion.

I would say that you probably wouldn't get more than about $100 to $125 for the whole atari 2600 collection. Look around ebay that stuff doesn't go for much at all.

i looked around and there are couple of systems that have only like 30-50 games for almost $100, i have 5 systems and over 300 games.

I'm trying to find out what i have so i can sell off some of my collection to get a DS :p
