It's funny how a real linux device is going to be released with all the needed requirements. I hope they can produce a more "premium" and "compact size" alternatives in the future.

So, how likely it will be to see self-financed keyboard prototypes from other factories ?

they're looking for keyboard layout suggestions! quick, to the batcave!

I see the 2020 edition of Keyboard Layout Argument Simulator is out. Let the games begin.

That is really cool. And it has a camera. But it is lacking in storage space. It does have a better form for a phone and it has USB-C though. I wish I could have the Pyra and the PinePhone and maybe also a Pandora and a Pibrem 5.

Hahahaha anything, so long as it begins with “P” xD

I bought one yesterday. Supposed to be shipped in Aug. Hope the keyboard will follow shortly.

I do enjoy my Cosmo but I don't like Planet's continued breaking of stuff with each update, poor linux support in general, and they have now moved on to a new product as well.

I also figure at worst I'll have a spare phone, and it best the pinephone could be a handy, cheap, pocket computer.

Just for the historians:

So 8 years ago it was too early for a really open Linux phone :)

I wonder if they would be interested in the prototype.

lol, saw that one coming after the length of time they seemed to spend on the first one before the next one was announced.

Yep which would be ok if android was perfect...but it's rough
