Why did you order your GP32, and what do you use it most for. I'm trying to get good ideas on what to play on this thing, what it's best for, besides the commercial games. I have the Movie Player, that's the coolest thing I've seen on it yet.

Everything. Its even good for constructing small nuclear possoms that always escape before they can be loaded into my GP32-constructed nuclear-possum-thrower and used to take over the world.

But mostly, probably for gaming - Castaway atm; ST games are too nostalgic on account of lots of them were on early PCs too. But I'm sure that'll change. If you'd asked 2 months ago, for example, it'd have been "movies" :)

Well i can guarantee that the majority of people are going to say "for it's emulation and user made progs".

Moviepark is more of a gimmick than anything IMO. Why bother watching a movie when i could be having twice as much fun playing the fantastic emulators available for the system.
Or having a go at the highly addictive and well polished Pinball Dreams.

Well, thats just like saying, why spend all you time old games when u could sit back and watch The Simpsons? Why not mix it up a bit??

divx divx divx divx... course its a pain to upload and encode but if you have enough smcs, a couple battery packs and a 4 day weekend in some town youve never heard of, its a god send

I just got my GP32 all setup a few hours ago, all ive tried is infones, snes(fast no saves/sounds), and movie park with the simpsons and a sample of the matrix reloaded. I'll definitely be playng more NES when the new FNES comes out, but i was pleasantlly surprised with infones. I'll be playing SNEs a TON too once that new emu comes....and oh my Genesis! can't wait, then you also have divx, it pretty much met my expectations. (i used vdub) Framerate a tad slower than I thought, but I know ill still be using it for sure. So I'd say considering all the new emus, ill be using it 60% movies and 40% for emulation.

had to have one after I saw the reviews of GPEngine... and the promise of Genesis (and hopefully Snes) didn't hurt either. SMS was also a draw!

I bought my GP32 only to code demos and other stuff.
i never play games/movies on it.. for that i have other consoles.

My GP32 is a cool door stopper - fits perfectly under the door in my computer room.

Well, you could put an emulator and a couple of games into maybe 12mb of space, and you'd be able to play those games for ages.

Or you can put a 1/2 hour episode of The Simpsons in what, 32 mb ?

It's simply more effective to cram tons of games into your 128mb space than films, especially if you're on a long journey.

Strangely enough I am not much of a gamer, but I love to play Doom, read e-books for school, and ESPECIALLY watch movies!!!!

a little bit of everything
Yeh you gan easily fit some simpsons (still very good at 14mb/episode) and a load of games on one card, and an album at 60 meg on your card. 2xSimpsons 1xAlbum and 30 meg or roms is easily enough for a long journey :D I tend to play a couple of games and stick with them till im done so i need to chill out with some tunes or some simpsons after being knocked down the same hole 10 times in ninja gaiden before i throw my gp at some one ;)

The bigest problem with watching simpsons on you GP in public is every one thinks you some loon who's laughs his tits off at his Gameboy
