I guess I am happier that way, I can pass my Pyra as a custom made device, and in this smartphone dominated era, almost no one will recognize it (especially outside Germany/Europe). I believe there will be no not-removable stickers saying Dragonbox Pyra on it.
Yes, although it will have a metal logo stuck to it which if you squint a bit and turn your head exactly to the right angle says 'dp' which alludes to the dragonbox pyra. You can remove that, but you'd probably want to fill it up again with something else because otherwise it's an unsightly hole in the lid, and so far nobody's making replacement parts (although you could probably easily enough buy metal sheeting of the required thickness then cut a bit off and shape it as required, if you really cared enough).

That 'dp' is fine, for most people it will just be some logo, that reads nothing.

Now that I read it, i just realized that the Pyra Logo isn’t just a Flame , but also the Initial of Dragonbox Pyra ,
After so many years of Preeorder ^^

I find the Illuminate Logo pretty handy, not only to find my Pyra in darkness, but also to troll these Apple Hippsters whit there MacBook on MacDonalds..
O wait: actual MacBooks ditnt have Illuminate Logo anymore..
I should look for a tiny Mouse I can put in my Pokets as well..

... you DO realize that you will probably be the most „hipsterest“ hipster in the whole town with your Pyra, while MacBook users have become kind of mainstream, don’t you?

I was really hip back in Thailand with my N900. When I bought a SIM card the people installing it needed my help because they did not know how the N900 works, apparently they had never seen one before. I guess that all they see are Android and Apple spy-bricks. I must have been the hippest customer that they have ever had.

What's a "hipster"? I thought it was someone who reads poetry with jazz playing in the background in a French bistro.

Seriously though, I'm pretty sure, whatever the definition, a Pyra owner won't really fit in to that box. Unless "being hip and trendy" involves a passion for open source/hardware, hacking and retro gaming.

I'd prefer the term maverick, as I feel most of us flow against the tide, rather than allow ourselves to get swept along with it.

I thought that a hipster was someone who is not mainstream. So the more unique and rare traits one has, the more hipster he is. In that case Pyra owners are hipsters. But I found other definitions too, so I guess "hipster" just means whatever you want it to mean.

Sorry, didn’t want to be that stereotypical, I know lots of hipsters are quite fine person whit just a divererent livestyle....

I would call myself a „Nerd“ or something..

Some Apple Users like it to show there stuff in public to be „Hipp“ ,
Not me, I m glad when my IPhone is securely back in my Pockets, I wouldn’t lay it on the Table when I am at a Bar or something...
My Watch is on my Wrist, so i can’t put it elsewhere, but that’s ok as it’s at least only a Watch..

But I like to put my Pandora/Pyra on Table, take a Tiny Mouse and use this like a normal Notebook ^^
I only need a Tiny Mouse.. (this is also something i want to buy bevor Pyra Release, hopefully every Bluetooth Mouse will work .. )

I am starting to really like the "mixed" look, that of having different colours for different parts of the case. Would it cost any more for such a mixed look to be the standard? It seems to me that the only restrictions from the mould are that the battery cover and inner screen frame must be the same plastic. I think that perhaps it would be interesting to have the keyboard section, battery cover and inner screen frame and shoulder buttons and stylus black while having the main lower section and the back screen/logo section red. It would certainly be a rather distinctive look!

A hipster is the guy with his mullet in a top knot. Recognizable online as the person who shows up in an online forum for a device the hipster does not have or want, just to tell people there that their device sucks.

iPhones are locked-down spy bricks so I would be ashamed to be seen in public with one. However maybe I'll lay the Librem 5 or Pyra on a table when I got them. Might even do both when I am in a really elite mood. And then I would flash the PineTime to show that I am really living the libre life.
So this basically means you’re a hipster for not using the mainstream definition of „hipster“?
Depends on whether my usage is mainstream or not, I guess. It was probably mainstream wherever I picked it up, though. So I got to subtract hipster points for that.

Well I found it quite the fitting Phone for me because I use it also the most time as an Audioplayer, and as I had some IPods bevor (Nano 2, 5, 6) , i have my Audio Libraries on ITunes, so a Apple Device was the way to go..
Also they provide Updates pretty long and the Techsupport is good, I had a nice chat whit one of there Employees some Years ago..

IPhone is my main Telephone/Camera/Music Player, and Pyra will be my Portable PC,
Like if I need to open a Exel or something..
Or Internet, whit a physical Keyboard, whit Backlight..

Also i use the Watch for Running, it’s quite handy as it’s can also stream music on the go whitout the need of the Phone,
So I just needs my Headphones, the Watch, a Cap, my Running Shues, Pants, T-Shirt, and nothing else , i know there are several other Smarthwatches out there whit a build in E-Sim, but it works pretty well..

Shure i could use Android or the Linux Phone that HNS is going to make, but I think the reason why I use Mobile Gadgets from Apple is maybe just because I wanted they..

The Xbox One X, as my first Console after the PS2, was also a Spontaneous Buy..
(At this Day I wanted just a Next Gen Console, ditnt care if it’s a PS4 or a Xbox, but because the Shop didn’t had GTA 5 for the PS4, and the Xbox One S they also had got this Fortnight Bundle, i bought the Console whit the to hight Power Compsumtion and the need for big 4K Patches..

So not every of my purchases are something that other would call „the right decision „

But whitout my tick to buy sometimes things „Just Cause“ I wouldn’t had buy the Pandora and wouldn’t be a part of this community..

I thought hipsters were those loyal-to-the-Kaiser-bearded guys and the glasses-they-don't-need-wearing gals. ?

They are the ones sitting at Starbucks tables drinking a giant soy free mochafrapolate connected to the free wifi on their iPhone complaining in texts to their friend on Facebook that the scooter they just dumped in the middle of the sidewalk only had a half charge when they rented it four blocks away.

Sounds like Apple has got you by the balls!

There is no moral obligation to use only libre devices. I too have been brought to my knees by proprietary vendors. He that is without libre device sins cast the first stone, unless your name is Richard Stallman.
